ummmmmmm tandem means one followed by another … so why would a tandem warhead do that?
No no he’s got a point. Its not tandem like the 2A, but it does have 2 warheads in order to increase probability of kill.
The AH-64 Apache has a tandem cockpit, that doesn’t make the Apache an anti ERA missile.
lol I read 2B and my brain thought 2A
thanks for pointing that out
Are you ok? Tandem means one after another, that has nothing to do missiles specifically
There’s evidence that it’s also possible for an EFP to penetrate more than the diameter of the warhead, up to ~210% the diameter. So 100mm is likely the lowest possible estimate that still obeys the laws of physics. Anything less and the missile is literally fantasy, while increasing penetration (of the 127mm tantalum lined EFP) to a maximum of ~250mm is indeed more than possible in reality.
Would be nice to one day see the TOW-2B work like in real life. 2x EFPs with pyrophoric effect, would make all those high tier ATGM vehicles a lot more effective.
One can only dream…
yep, just like in the game. except the russian tank never explodes.
Spoiler: all report had been close by “game convention” i report and dont get any update

Aka they are too lazy to add a new projectile mechanic for only 2 missiles systems (Bill 2 and TOW2B).
TOW-2B is completely correct.
It’s american, so it’s nerfed by default (to not beat Russia).
As well as those famous tandem charges that don’t pen russian eras.
It would be just for the tow2B, the bill correctly uses heat.
I found a source stating that the BILL 2 uses EFP charges:

" One of the first OTA (Overfly Top Attack) missiles was the TOW-2B, which flies 1.5 meters above the line of sight and, when the target is detected below the missile by optical and magnetic sensors, fires two projectiles formed by detonation downward into the roof of the vehicle. This dual warhead is designed to defeat reactive-armored vehicles. The Saab-manufactured BILL-2 is similar in operating principle and structure. The BILL-2 can also be fired directly at ground targets in direct-fire mode, but then the proximity fuze does not function (the magnetic sensor is switched off in semi-active mode).
Figure 51: Structure of the BILL-2.
80 mm EFP
102 mm EFP"
“Shaped charge” - both EFPs and HEAT are shaped charge warheads.
Would take like one line of code to make it work correctly but apparently having a weapon that specifically targets the weakness of Russian tanks means it’s impossible to have it working correctly.
Like i said before, the game is russian, so no big surprise
