yesterday I observed that the torpedo speed in the statcard on most japanese vessels is given as about 229km/h - unfortunately its real speed is not this high ;-) I assume it should mean 22.9 m/s ?
Someone in I think my squadron discord or another naval related one mentioned it was the torpedo launching speed from the torpedo tubes of the vessel which tbh isn’t an overly helpful speed to give.
The highest speed torpedoes in game (RB wise) are between 120 & 126 kmph (an like 30k’s more in AB with the modes boost).
I was told those were arcade stats only.
yes, but previously the speed was given in km/h - in the correct value
I’m not sure. I have everything set to MPH and I think they are much higher than they used to show, but I don’t have screenshots from previous patches to prove it.
Looks like fun - Shimikaze in AB shows 272 kph!! :D
Whereas 27.2 m/s = 98 kph viz a "real world speed of 89-93 kph according to wiki.
In RB it shows 91kph.
So I think you are right - it’s a stat card bug.

PT15 has in arcade torpedo speed of about 123 kph, the statcard now shows about 342kph which also corresponds to 123kph if interpreted as 34 mps. I haven`t checked if other nations also show the wrong values
