In Air RB the Tornado IDS ASSTA1 is at 11.7 while the other tornados, IDS WTD61 and IDS MFG, are at 11.3 just because ASSTA1 gets guided weponary (not really useful in AIR RB!!!). The discussion of Tornados being at 11.3 is also on the table…

Yeah 11.3 is actually probably about right for now. There is a round of possible buffs to explore first. The likely first would be Sky Shadow ECM pods as I think they may have dropped hints to ECM coming soon.
Also even at 11.7, the Tonkas do okay in a gamemode where ground attackers can actually function such as Air Sim
The AMX sucks. The airframe is completely destroyed by Alpha jets. I tried to dog fight an alpha jet with the Brazilian A1A and got utterly destroyed.
It has the added benefit of having less missiles than vehicles with same BR
Air RB BRs work somewhat ok. Even grinding the SLE in Air RB was quite smooth. The biggest issue are just base stealers, cause fighters + napalm bombs farm all bases with superior speed.
Ground RB BRs are more serious. Assta1 and SLE are too high BRed. They should be both lower. Currently they face too powerful SAMs. What to do in a Tornado SLE vs. BUK and the likes? Thats the main game mode for Tornados, it should be playable at least.
I agree with the SLE (and GR4) but I actaully disagree with the ASSTA1. I think 11.3 is the correct BR for it. Just the Pantsir should be 12.3 not 12.0 (they’d also benefit from Sky Shadow)
The only one that I think could benefit from being 11.0 is the IDS(1995) as it does not get different weapons to the standard laser GBUs and Im not sure how its Tpod performs. (I cant recall if its got tracking or not)
Thats the catch, you can’t use it with Pantsir around. And there’s always a Pantsir. Its just not possible, except the map supports air units.

I found out that GRB match duration is often too short for extensive CAS gameplay. Its possibly ok to just spawn and quickly spacebar all KH-38 or LMURs. But climbing up out of enemy radar range, fly back at 8000m to pick targets… Game always seems to end before I’m able to do something significant. Best was three kills. Not alot considering the spawn points and effort.
War Thunder GRB is very fast paced. Laser guided ordnance or slow GNSS bombs are just not what you need. By the time you toss one JDAM into target, any Mi28 heli or Suchoi jet fired off its whole volley for max effect.
Yeah, which is a big reason why I rarely bother with top tier these days.
Much prefer the 10.3/10.7 BR range, just wish I had a Tonka for low level carpet bomb runs at 10.X
Best matches for me are at 5.7 currently. These take some time. You can do alot things.
But top tier needs some tweaks. Maybe less ticket bleed. Dunno, its always over too fast. Really fast. Gajin surely invests alot time and money to get all these high tech toys ingame, but there seems to be rarely enough time to really use it. Similar to Air RB.
Sometimes I think its too easy to kill enemy units. Be it air or ground. Its always one mouseclick. Maybe its worth a thought to reduce damage across the board.
