Tornado GR.4: Tenacious Tonka

Why would you think that. It being added in SAL mode is clearly better than it not being added at all.

I’ve not seen Gaijin mention this once.

This may be the case now, but I worry that down the line when others have their equivalents Britain just won’t be brought up to parity. As has happened for minor nations several times, and is still the case for a fair bit of kit. If we get some guarantees, then I’ve personally no issues with the addition and I suspect the other individual would agree with me. But without those guarantees, I am of the mind we should get things accurate rather than half implemented.

That quote appears to still be talking about LOAL mode. The person I replied to suggested it was a concern in LOBL mode.

True, but it is weird to include that in the post when a LOBL + mmV mode exists that would eliminate that risk altogether.

Just feels a little like they were looking for justification for not adding it and were finding issues that wouldn’t necessarily be issues at all.

Also doesn’t even the LOAL mode just target pre-programmed targets?

Nah, didn’t you know IFF doesn’t exist

in fact ,AJ 168 can track a target (player vehicle) further than ~6km if you fired to player vehicle point over 6km and the player vehicle is still near that point when agm fly to 6km away from the point…by the way ,kh38 also can do like so and works much better (its relock ability is very very strong)
so FnF already in the game(because of iog kh38 doesn’t afraid of smoke),its only difference from kh38 is that it can have better self serch abiliity, however it can only start searching with in 4km(may be) instead of 12km of kh38

The issue with this is they hold that “being able to regain a track after the target leaves smoke, or using inertial guidance to strike a target within smoke” is different to “tracking a target in smoke”.

However, in practice the efficacy would be more or less the same so it ends up being a distinction without a difference. But there’s a surface level difference and that’s what they’re running with, instead of having a look at it and realising that effectively they’ve a missile that breaks the conventions they’ve laid out to limit the implementation of ARH seekers.

Im sorry but gunjob further up here unless its been removed has been pretty rude. And if we repeated things hes said to us. Back to him, wed likely have a forum ban.

Just saying.

I personally just see him speaking facts, not sure how those are offensive or rude.

Then just nerf it so smoke does affect it? And make it fire and forget with a laser instead of IR. lock on, fire, missile maintenance laser guidance, make it so smoke DOES effect it. Not hard.

Further up, can spit facts without being rude. Im talking miles back up.

As i said may of been removed.

Edit, it wasnt removed but telling folks that theyre pissing into the wind saying certain systems are better or Worse than others isnt something a moderator should be saying.

Thats one of the responses to me.

I dont mind gunjob, but dont tell someone to watch how theyre talking to a mod when said persons not exactly being polite themselves.

Personally i think hes alright. Hes whipped up.some nice sources which a little while ago we agreed were difficult to get so fair play to him.

Hey, apologies if you found my language rude, I figured this would be mostly Britbongs in the thread so common expressions such as “pissing in the wind” would be taken for the idiom that it is.

thats the issue, im from scotland xD when folks use it, its a polite way of basically telling them your arguments invalid. (that isnt what im saying you mean btw) but maybe how i interpreted it.

maybe due to my interactions with the way people use it right enough. Not wanting any misunderstandings.

@Smin1080p_WT

Any chance we could see the SAL Brimstone 1s upgraded to SAL Brimstone 2s to give them the upgraded motor, increasing their range and flight speed. Making even a laser guided only weapon have greater parity to FnF.

The main complaint is that they are really slow, meaning long loiter times waiting for them to impact. Due to Tpod limitaitons, the range wont increase much over Brimstone 1s, but the increased speed from the motor capable of double the range, should, in theory, about halve the loiter time. From 60s+ down to I guess more like 40s. A big boost, still “accurate” and still way weaker than KH-38 and AGM-65

This read as: “Please sir may I have some more”

Sad state when it even needs be considered.

A suggestion report can be made for it for the Devs to consider. However it won’t be possible in this major update.

Shall get to work on it. Might get them before Christmas next year if the report is submitted soon. Usually takes about a year at a minimum

The conclusion I’ve got from reading most of this is that the KH-38 was a ridiculous addition to the game and it should really just temporarily be removed for balance reasons.

There is nothing that even comes close to its effectiveness in ground rb. It can be added back once gaijin has found (balanced) competitors to the KH-38 for other nations.

Same can be said for Mavericks, CAS is dominant at most brs
