They locked fine last I used them in late spring/early summer, and I’m unsure how they became broken between then and the current iteration of War Thunder.
Cause I used them to see how they’d play.

I think they had a laser guided one but im not sure if ive heard of a gps guided one sadly. Would be good for sim and air.
TV sights are heavily affected by weather. Slight bit of cloud and you are screwed. Using them via CCRP in Sim is really hit and miss and I think they are a tad buggy when you try to use them via the TIALD pod. Sometimes its better to swap to the TV sight on the PGM and then fire them instead of making use of the Tpod.
All in all. I think IIR would fix a LOT of issues the PGMs have and then ontop of that, perhaps allow them to be fired at longer ranges, even if that is only via CCRP vs bases.
They are also missing IOG that also doesnt help Community Bug Reporting System
Defo, TV, IIR and laser guided, but just range on them seems a tad strange without GPS as well. either that or they are rather heavily gimped by tpods being gimped in game
They just cant lock onto the ground from further out than 20km, does anyone know if the kh38 has that problem or does ins allow it to? May simply be a cross over from they probably copied over the seeker stats from the mavericks.
I have no idea, Id guess IR vs TV sight limitation though rather than a KH-38 thing.
They should give f15E the 5 jassms it can carry
Would be very funny in sim
Armement Air-Sol Modulaire
When are we getting it. We Frenchies want OUR JDAMs
Translation - Brimstones IOG doesnt work without the mmw seeker but we dont actually care
Can you explain, why the KH36G1 was deleted? Is it because the SU34 was able to get a war zone relatively safely? If this is the reason, I will tell you, there is still a mount scheme on the su34 that can safely get to the war zone and return to the base, such as 6 KH38MT + a GPS-guided 1500 kg bomb, then should you also consider deleting the two of them? XD
Well very true, my question is then, have we gone too far in terms of adding new tech to the game? I personally love to see all the new tech but, if it causes big imbalances no matter the side, is it something that that might back-fire in the future?
Personally, in Air matches i think its absolutely fine, they might have to skew the matches in top BR more towards bigger maps soon. Its not far off becoming to close with 100km distance between spawns. But that is probably an easy fix by just adding some of the maps and removing some and making a new set of maps that can be seen in top BR air.
In GRB we might just be there now (or at least soon), Air has progressed faster and further than Ground has (which is also true IRL) so its going to be increasingly hard to balance CAS in any reasonable way, Gaijin might soon get to a point where setting a cap for how high BR the plane is allowed to be when brought into a top BR GRB match. top Ground vehicle is currently 12.0 and top air is 13.7. I would probably like to see that when BR 14.0 is introduced that those are not allowed to be brought into the ground matches until we have better SPAA or even some form of static battle field protection or something. (depending on loadout of the plane and its GRB BR of course).
A good idea is to make all games 13.0 and up (preferably 12.0 and up honestly) be all EC maps. Having all the bases in a small area in the centre of the map concentrate all the combat in a zone similar size to normal rb maps. Making all games ec would give “bombers” such as tornados something to do instead of rushing head long into arh missiles while having nothing but ir missiles.
Increasing the size would go a long way but a quick and easy fix, which we all know gaijin love, would be to simply make all games ec.
They really should be at the very least IR FnF Smin, just for balance and QOL. It was the entire purpose of their development and procurement. Just a kick in the teeth to British players to not give Brimstones such a feature after the sheer amount of inaccuracies, balance features and paper designs that have been included in this game. I’d rather they just not the GR.4 at all if this is going to be their stance.
im well aware
They should just remove the artificial range limitations of brimstone it’s hilarious that the missile just explodes mid air while being in a perfect flight path to the target.
Also nice to see that PGMs statcard is lying about the range
Tornado GR.4 brings a lot of other weapon types and improvements other than just Brimstone.
There is absolutely no reason not to introduce it to the game. In reality the aircraft used far more and known for much more than just Brimstone.
Brimstone will be available in game in SAL mode for those that would like to use it. For those that don’t, GR.4 offers Paveway IV and other smart bomb types that are also effective in both ground and air battles.
I still somewhat dislike it, but I understand Gaijin’s decision to limit Brimstone to SAL mode only for now.
Is there any chance that our Brimmy will be replaced with an ARH one that has the full potential IF the game is ready for weaponry like that in future?
Can I have an answer or you don’t have permission to publish about further plans about Brimstone?
As we outlined in the blog, without the correct counters and conditions for Brimstone, it’s ARH modes won’t be balanced. If however all of those conditions changed and those elements were present in the game and other balance concerns were worked out, then the matter would be reconsidered. But as of right now, we are nowhere close to this.
