A good idea is to make all games 13.0 and up (preferably 12.0 and up honestly) be all EC maps. Having all the bases in a small area in the centre of the map concentrate all the combat in a zone similar size to normal rb maps. Making all games ec would give “bombers” such as tornados something to do instead of rushing head long into arh missiles while having nothing but ir missiles.
Increasing the size would go a long way but a quick and easy fix, which we all know gaijin love, would be to simply make all games ec.
They really should be at the very least IR FnF Smin, just for balance and QOL. It was the entire purpose of their development and procurement. Just a kick in the teeth to British players to not give Brimstones such a feature after the sheer amount of inaccuracies, balance features and paper designs that have been included in this game. I’d rather they just not the GR.4 at all if this is going to be their stance.
They should just remove the artificial range limitations of brimstone it’s hilarious that the missile just explodes mid air while being in a perfect flight path to the target.
Also nice to see that PGMs statcard is lying about the range
Tornado GR.4 brings a lot of other weapon types and improvements other than just Brimstone.
There is absolutely no reason not to introduce it to the game. In reality the aircraft used far more and known for much more than just Brimstone.
Brimstone will be available in game in SAL mode for those that would like to use it. For those that don’t, GR.4 offers Paveway IV and other smart bomb types that are also effective in both ground and air battles.
I still somewhat dislike it, but I understand Gaijin’s decision to limit Brimstone to SAL mode only for now.
Is there any chance that our Brimmy will be replaced with an ARH one that has the full potential IF the game is ready for weaponry like that in future?
Can I have an answer or you don’t have permission to publish about further plans about Brimstone?
As we outlined in the blog, without the correct counters and conditions for Brimstone, it’s ARH modes won’t be balanced. If however all of those conditions changed and those elements were present in the game and other balance concerns were worked out, then the matter would be reconsidered. But as of right now, we are nowhere close to this.
Gr.4 is still a direct upgrade to our GR 1 in all regards, it’s definitely nice to have even if brimstones aren’t getting fire and forget. If they would remove the artificial 20km range limiter of it, it’s still a perfectly nice weapon system.
Other than that the platform is a direct upgrade to the Gr .1, more thrust, better weapons, HMD (even if that will mean it will get a air RB br that is an utter joke)
Kind of sad to see. Seems like worse option, now Russian players lose out on a new tool, and Brits still lose out on a competitive weapon. I would think letting Britain have the mode 2 fire and forget, and also letting Russian players have the Grom would make everyone happy. Well, I hope Grom 2 is fun at least.
I’ve provided my argument back that the battery is likely not the limiting factor, but the developer is correct here. The door was left open for indirect proof so I have provided it.
So KH-38 are balanced?
outrange any AA (even pantsir) check.
Fast and hard to intercept to SPAA without TWS (which only two SPAA in the game has it) check.
FnF check
If you’re removing a weapon that has already appeared in Dev and Teaser trailers, you should consider how the player feels and ask for their suggestions, rather than making random changes to it.
Could it be possible for the Devs to change there minds and add a placeholder f&f mode for brimstone from something like spike just temporarily until it could eventually receive its irl f&f mode ??
Maybe you think that the radar lock mode of the Brimstone missile upsets the balance, I can understand it, but there is no reason for the deletion of the Grom-1 missile, and I cannot accept it,You should give the player a valid reason to remove Grom-1
