I’m more impressed how they could hold a straight face saying the GR4 would be “too good” while dropping the Su-34 and F-15E the same update.

Oh no! AGM-65s and KH-38s are still OP!
If only they’d add SPAA superior to Pantsir to all 10 tech trees… oh wait, their stats say people are dying to SPAA still cause not enough people fly CAS with survival in mind.
Me begging for better SPAA, and also me begging that CAS players learn how to survive.

Whilst if the Gripen gets GBU 39s, it would outperform the Gr4 in a strike role.
Kh-38 is entirely different to what Brimstone would be. This is not a good comparison at all.

It seems rather DOA with the Brimestone not being added it it’s full capability. And it’s a bit wild we haven’t seen ARH missiles yet. Would be nice to have something to at least scare the OP as hell Pantsir.

yes it is a good comparison because all players are asking is that it gets some degree of FNF modeled instead of none. Preserve the weapons identity.
Also its a good comparison because while the KH38 needs LOS, it blatantly breaks one of the 2 main reasons given against the brimstone “victims and SPAA cant fight it”

Except it is. It directly demonstrates the double standard.
I use Kh 38, it can strike through smoke. It can also out range NATO AAs. So there’s the 2 issues that your news post is claiming brimstone would be too good if it could do these things.

Neither of which are better than F-16C at CAS.
the 15E is LEAGUES better than the 16C
same AGM-65 loadout, same AIM-120 loadout with said AGM65s, can also carry a slew of guided bombs on its belly, and its far faster.
it’s also a STRIKE JET so you can run both at the same time.

Mechanic wise yes, balance wise no. both still pose a threat.
Kh38s can still be launched well outside SAM engagement ranges and some SAMs simply do not see them on radar or can lock them due to lofting parameters. I agree brimstones with radar seeker would be broken but kh38s are very much comparable in a balance perspective and should not exist in the game till we have systems capable of taking them out effectively

False equivalence fallacies are fallacies for a reason.
You cannot compare the Challenger 2 to the BMP-3 either.
If 38 exists, Brimstone should too in a less screwed up form. Grom arguably also adds to the “can strike from outside the range of AAs”. Hell, even GBU 39s are more effective than Brimstone, and they’re glide bombs.
So what do you think is a good comparison, you didn’t even let players test that in DEV, and then robbed the children of their opportunity like a drunk parent.

You cant compare the Challenger 2 to the BMP3 in a broad sense. But when you give a criteria (for example only its not a serious thing)
“Thermals are too good for the game as they are strong against low tier tanks” and you choose to give one thermals and the other doesn’t get them. That’s a case where they indeed can be compared, and the flaws in the argument can be pointed out.
The KH38 and Brimstone function differently, but when given the reason “it outranges SPAA, victims cant defend themselves, and it can hit through smokes” when the KH38 can do ALL THREE… yeah you can compare them.
Now I dont think the mmW seeker should be modeled, rather just… model them like basic IR FNF missiles-

Those looked insane, as did the glide bombs on the F-15E. Both weapon systems massively out perform Brimstone even with a basic FnF mechanic

GROM doesn’t add that, it’s not even the 4th glide bomb/missile to be added with that type of range.

GPS guided bombs go to a static location.
I’m of the mind, put Brimstone in properly, let the yanks and ruskis cry until they inevitably get something that can either defeat them or compete.
