Personally i think hes alright. Hes whipped up.some nice sources which a little while ago we agreed were difficult to get so fair play to him.

thats the issue, im from scotland xD when folks use it, its a polite way of basically telling them your arguments invalid. (that isnt what im saying you mean btw) but maybe how i interpreted it.

Any chance we could see the SAL Brimstone 1s upgraded to SAL Brimstone 2s to give them the upgraded motor, increasing their range and flight speed. Making even a laser guided only weapon have greater parity to FnF.
The main complaint is that they are really slow, meaning long loiter times waiting for them to impact. Due to Tpod limitaitons, the range wont increase much over Brimstone 1s, but the increased speed from the motor capable of double the range, should, in theory, about halve the loiter time. From 60s+ down to I guess more like 40s. A big boost, still “accurate” and still way weaker than KH-38 and AGM-65
The conclusion I’ve got from reading most of this is that the KH-38 was a ridiculous addition to the game and it should really just temporarily be removed for balance reasons.
There is nothing that even comes close to its effectiveness in ground rb. It can be added back once gaijin has found (balanced) competitors to the KH-38 for other nations.
its funny that gaijin has some how made what should have been one of the strongest AGMs at top tier be reduced to nothing but a gimmick weapon that isnt worth bringing over a rocket propelled bomb from a plane an entire BR below it
There are a few example of that, but there’s plenty of other examples where it’s gone the other way, people just don’t tend to remember those as much. To name a few off the top of my head:
Phantom FGR.2 getting constant upgrades since it’s addition:
First PD radar in game
Among the first to get SARH missiles
Among the first to get flares
Among the first to get chaff
Among the first to get RWR
Among the first to get HUD in cockpit (albeit basic)
PARS 3 getting F&F mode added later on
AIM-9L getting a whole load of buff since it was first added
But a far simpler argument is this: lets say MMW missiles are added in 6 months. You’re working to the assumption that if delayed Brimstone would be added with MMW seeker, whereas it might not get upgraded to one if it’s added now without one. But you don’t seem to be considering the option of Brimstone just not being added at all in 6 months.
Having it in game now is of benefit because it means the devs already have the model and most other attributes sorted. All they need to do is add a new seeker when MMW comes. That means it’s less work for them and more likely to be added.
Phantom FGR-2 had a PD radar with no SARHM and unlike the Aim9J and R60 on the other peer aircraft the Aim9D didn’t have SEAM so that Radar was worthless until Skyflash was added
But yes the FGR-2 has been consistently updated as Britain have had nothing else we had the FGR-2 since 2019!
Brimstone may be improved over the years as will the Tornado GR.4 one day we might get EW/ECM ASRAAM and Storm shadow but for now we wait…
That reminds me, the FGR.2 was also the first jet to do away with the launch g limit (even if Gaijin did accidently keep changing the back and forth on a monthly basis due to dodgy version control)
All these people have been doing for years is deliberately introducing another OP feature into the game, only to nerf it later and create the next OP feature. This suggests that no one in this game actually cares about balance and never has, because there is no balance in the game. The claims that Brimstone would disrupt the balance are nothing more than excuses.
