Topic about Japan adds t84 and vt4

If gaijin finds a way then if that’s a green light from the Chinese community to add the Thai VT-4 to Japan then I’m up for it

Yes exactly. I do not want to see VT4s fighting for Japan. This is absurd and disrespectful. I have no idea why people would support such a thing.

I would accept if it was like this. Then again gaijin would probably be too lazy to implement those changes.

This is very disrespectful. I do not want Chinese made vehicles to be fighting for Japan and with imperial flags planted on top.

You know what’s disrespectful? Punishing Thai vehicle players who want Thai vehicles in their own respective sub-tree because of your problems and NOT THAI problems.

Very disrespectful and selfish for certain Chinese players who think Thai vehicle don’t belong in Thai sub-tree. You should be ashamed.

VT4 will proudly have Thai flag. Hopefully Thai crew voice. Fighting for Thailand.

If Thailand sub-tree in Japan tree, blame Gaijin, but DO NOT PUNISH THAI VEHICLE PLAYERS because it’s not up to them.

I am fine with the VT4 being in the Japanese tech tree if imperial Japanese flags are not allowed to be pasted onto it and the crew will not use the Japanese voice. Putting imperial Japanese flags on the VT4 is like putting Nazi flags on Israeli vehicles.

All of these seem like fair points. Thai crew coices should be implemented with Thai vehicles and the VT-4 is confirmed to not be added at a sensitive time already.

Only the decal restriction is new, but I think Gaijin could do something like it if it helps with the issue.

I agree, this is good for futher social developemnet

You do realize that was like 80 years ago, right? Maybe time to grow up and stop living in the past.

So we should forget about the crimes of Nazis as well? Your argument does not make sense at all

That is the neat part. It doesn’t matter what they are irl. All that matters is:

Gaijin has officially announced Thailand as a sub tree for Japan, which means that the Japanese tree becomes to home tree for Thai vehicles.

Now that doesn’t mean all thai vehicles that have ever existed will get added, but when they do they go to the Japanese tree.

So something like a VT4 shouldn’t get added then. Gaijin has promised that they would not do so. I think that they should uphold their promise.

And if it shouldn’t get added because it’s a chinese vehicle, foreign vehicles used by the ROC shouldn’t be added to the Chinese tree.

The logic is simple, no matter how much mental gymnastics you want to do.

The addition of the VT4, like I have mentioned before, it a sensitive issue. It is similar to adding modern eastern European vehicles to the USSR tech tree. In both cases, it is very disrespectful and even though it can be added, it probably should not be. I don’t see the “logic” in this.

Then we don’t add the VT-4 to Japan and we don’t add foreign designed vehicles operated by the ROC to China.

I already won the argument a while ago, only reason why it’s still going is because Chinese players want special treatment, they want to have their cake and eat it too (or whatever the saying is in english).

If you want to believe in that and discriminate against the Chinese so be it. I already gave very good reasons and if you don’t want to hear my reasoning then fine.

The only counterarguments were “hurr durr ROC part of china, Thailand not part of Japan” and “it’s insensitive”.

The latter is fair enough even though it happened 80 years ago. However the first argument doesn’t matter at all in game, ROC and Thailand are officially part of the Chinese and Japanese trees respectively in game, there is nothing that will change that at this point.

Easy solution:

Have Chinese player accounts not have Japanese decals visible, but everyone else has access to decals as before.

Minimal effort to implement, everyone is happy.

These identical issues will replay themselves across future tech trees

whether for Korea (North/South), Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, or other nations/regions lacking sufficient vehicles to fill a tech trees. Only the players debating will change. The core problem remains completely unaddressed

Hiding decals on other players vehicles has already been added as a feature for exactly this reason and is enabled by default.
