Even then, this wouldn’t even be C&P. The Thai VT-4 lacks APS and other features.

Yep they throw the word C&P because deep down it’s a code word for them disliking the vehicle.
I’m ok for people don’t wanting to see similar tech in other trees because that’s truthful but out right calling it C&P and a nothing burger is disheartening
Because they aren’t adding a Japanese VT-4. Its a Thai VT-4.

Doesn’t mean the VT4 is Japanese. I wouldn’t say “Chinese F-16” or “Swedish F-18” or “Italian KF41” or… you get the point. This is a non-issue. It wouldn’t have any Japanese symbols, crew or voice.

On the grounds that Japan is where THAILAND sub-tree is.
Your problem with Japan SHOULD NOT affect where THAI vehicles go. Asking for exception and special treatment for THAI VT4 to go the chinese tech tree when the rest of Thai vehicles are in Japan’s tech tree is VERY MUCH unfair and disrespectful to Thailand.
If VT4 goes to chinese tech tree you are punishing Thai players for something they are not wrong for and have no control over. THAT is ESPECIALLY selfish.

I think it’s a cool tank to add to Japan, my goal in the game now is to make pure line ups out of sub nations tech only.
I’ve got some Finnish line ups already and working my way to do the BR 9 line up, I’m also waiting for low tier Hungarian aviation so I can remove the Romanian stand in’s.
So for Thailand the more the better imho, Thailand has got plenty of jet’s where the VT-4 will sit so in order to get more tank for my pure Thai line up would be pretty cool.

Do you mean the Thai VT4, with a Thai flag, Thai crew, Thai symbols, Thai modifications and Thai camouflage- that will be placed in Japan? This is seriously a non-issue.

The core issue is very simple: Chinese players do not want a Chinese-developed tank to be placed in the Japanese tech tree, even if it is labeled as a “Thai vehicle in the Japanese sub-tree.”
Since the VT4 was entirely designed and manufactured by China, assigning it to Japan — regardless of whether it is nominally under the “Thai line” — is seen by Chinese players as a distortion of the vehicle’s origin and history. What players are opposing is not the inclusion of “Thai elements,” but rather the misplacement of a Chinese tank into Japan’s tree.

M8 your complaining about your domestic tank being added to currently one nation, how do you think the US feel on how they have their Sherman and P-51’s being in every tree possible in game even in YOUR’s.
Pro tip, if you don’t want to see your tank in other nations trees then ring up your army HQ and kindly ask them to stop exporting their stuff because of a few pixels on a screen.

Gaijin gives vehicles to nations that OPERATE them. And NOT to who makes the vehicles.
Its history is that China made it to EXPORT it to Thailand who operates the largest number of them. Making them belong to Thailand. NOT china.
The core of the issue is very simple. Chinese players wants special treatment, seperating Thai vehicles because of their own problems. Their problems SHOULD NEVER affect Thailand. Unfortunately very selfish and disrespectful of them to wish so.

I don’t know why this half-joking post has hundreds of people arguing in the past few days, but I know that VT4 joining Japan will not change anything. It will not change what I will eat tomorrow morning, my work, my studies, my family, friends and partner. no normal person should be affected by a small change in the game. wake up, war thunder is not everything in life.

yea…Literally nothing related to the game or addition to VT4. Just personal feelings, nothing more.
That’s true, but we players still need to do our utmost to get gaijin to make concessions. The concessions we players have made to gaijin are large enough
If it weren’t for VT4, we would welcome the expansion of Japan’s game queue. However, China has such a big hatred for Japan, why did they send VT4 to Japan (even though it is from Thailand)? Why did they release VT4 when there are so many other vehicles that can be released?
