Topic about Japan adds T-84 and VT-4

The topic is about T84 - VT-4. Please keep to those vehicles.

This topic is political from the very start and should be removed, and yet the only thing removed are being comments which are “political”.

There are plenty of vehicle that shouldn’t be where they are right now because of politics and yet they are where they are because that’s where they fit the best at the moment.

In addition as far as I know VT-4 is primarly an export vehicle meaning it’s gonna end up in other nations.

Thailand as far as I know is NOT Japan, they are PART of their tech-tree because JP literally lacks vehicles post WWII and this is partially the role of Thailand, to give Thai players their nation vehicles and to increase the overall volume of available vehicles in Japan.

I’m pretty sure in the stats card there’s gonna be a Thai flag, not JP flag, crew voices are gonna be Thai not JP.

If VT-4 an export vehicle for Thailand will not be added to JP tech tree then Taiwan vehicles should be removed from Chinese tech tree as well and moved to another.

I agree with this part. But I also think Gaijin is not clear enough about this. A lot of times I see people think a subtree is some form of lesser nation belonging to another, rather than two equally important nations in a mutually beneficial system.
This is an issue with how subtrees are represented right now, and something I think needs fixing regardless of this controversy.

If anything, I think Gaijin should see this situation as pointing out key flaws in the current inplementation of subtrees and maybe consider reworking their implementation. I made a whole suggestion about it myself, and I know I am not the first. There was a similar suggestion on the old forum by another player and many ideas for improvements from other players as well.
This might be the time for Gaijin to think about how to address these issues.

Playing the Thai A-7E in sim today made this very obvious, it’s a VERY capable plane and complements the F-1 and 104J perfectly.
I expect similar from the Thai ground subtree and the T-84 and VT4.

Please keep all communication in this section of the forums in English only, and completely avoid discussion of current conflicts or other political agitation.

pretty much an improvement to the modern T series tanks in every way except maybe fire power

The Type 90’s and TKX’s are already some of the strongest in the game and looked over quite a lot. Not to mention their extremely inaccurate armor profiles, having much more than in game.

I don’t feel the VT or 84 is needed…

However, there are still many unresolved issues regarding the addition of VT4 to Japan’s tech tree. Firstly, VT4’s in-game protection is not good, and its mobility is also hard to compare with the existing vehicles in Japan. Secondly, VT4’s 7.1-second reload time and 577-millimeter penetration are unlikely to deliver impressive performance. In addition, VT4’s combat style does not match the entire Japanese tech tree, which is known for its mobility and firepower. Lastly, if VT4 is added to Japan’s tech tree as a premium vehicle, then why shouldn’t I just buy the better 90B instead?

Clearly, even without considering political factors, VT4 is not suitable for being added to Japan’s tech tree purely from the perspective of gameplay. Who would want a vehicle that is subpar in terms of firepower, mobility, and armor?

The VT4 is a vehicle with numerous bugs and modeling errors, and its performance is barely satisfactory. Why should it be added? This not only increases the burden on Gaijin’s staff but also has no impact on the system of Japan’s tech tree.

People who want to make lineups. Japan has three 12.0 vehicles and will soon have four to five 11.7 vehicles (seeing as the Type 90s are all moving up). Being able to add more vehicles will mean they get to stay in the game longer.

The game is already filled with situations like that, so this is hardly a point.

Then play another nation for ones.
Imagine having to play another nation besides Russia…

But their respawn points are likely insufficient, which will make them more inclined to choose SPAA rather than tanks.

And this will cause War Thunder to lose a large number of players - the Chinese community has at least 612,000 people, most of whom do not use VPN - this is illegal in China and there is a probability of being arrested

TBH, if its illigal for the Chinese playerbase to play this game, then why make such a big fuss about it.

Not only that, the VT-4 is thai modified. Just Chinese imported.
I didn’t here the Chinese community lash out because they got a F-16 or Mirage…

That says more about the people then the game.

But this will ruin the experience for many people, not just Chinese players - and you can’t solve the “people problem” in the short term.

AFAIK the DDoS attact on BF4 Asian server was pushed by some server owners…

Yep, if it’s illegal to play then gaijin can legally say screw you to the chinese community as they shouldn’t be playing this game lmao

Thing is, we already have worse situations than these examples with Indian vehicles being in the British tree. People protested that too given the history of both nations, yet gaijin seemingly doesn’t really care as they’ve continued to add Indian vehicles after the Bhishma.

This is just completely absurd. Gaijin doesn’t operate in China, and these Chinese companies wouldn’t have a lot (if any) of juridical power on a company based in Hungary. The prospect of them being sued to bankruptcy is ludicrous, especially since UE courts are nothing US ones.

Sorry but that’s pure bully tactics. “Give us what we want and how we want or we’ll ruin things for everyone”. Behaving like that sure as hell wouldn’t reflect well on Chinese players.
