Topic about Japan adds T-84 and VT-4

And if it shouldn’t get added because it’s a chinese vehicle, foreign vehicles used by the ROC shouldn’t be added to the Chinese tree.

The logic is simple, no matter how much mental gymnastics you want to do.

The addition of the VT4, like I have mentioned before, it a sensitive issue. It is similar to adding modern eastern European vehicles to the USSR tech tree. In both cases, it is very disrespectful and even though it can be added, it probably should not be. I don’t see the “logic” in this.

Then we don’t add the VT-4 to Japan and we don’t add foreign designed vehicles operated by the ROC to China.

I already won the argument a while ago, only reason why it’s still going is because Chinese players want special treatment, they want to have their cake and eat it too (or whatever the saying is in english).

If you want to believe in that and discriminate against the Chinese so be it. I already gave very good reasons and if you don’t want to hear my reasoning then fine.

The only counterarguments were “hurr durr ROC part of china, Thailand not part of Japan” and “it’s insensitive”.

The latter is fair enough even though it happened 80 years ago. However the first argument doesn’t matter at all in game, ROC and Thailand are officially part of the Chinese and Japanese trees respectively in game, there is nothing that will change that at this point.

Easy solution:

Have Chinese player accounts not have Japanese decals visible, but everyone else has access to decals as before.

Minimal effort to implement, everyone is happy.

These identical issues will replay themselves across future tech trees

whether for Korea (North/South), Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, or other nations/regions lacking sufficient vehicles to fill a tech trees. Only the players debating will change. The core problem remains completely unaddressed

Hiding decals on other players vehicles has already been added as a feature for exactly this reason and is enabled by default.

why should they? that doesnt hurt anyone, just more combinations

It’s not coming on September 3rd brother. In fact it’s not even coming in this update. Please spread this fact in the chinese internet if you can, it seems many chinese player don’t know the latest official statement regarding thai VT4.
Sub trees are basically nations within nation. They are kind of independent. Just because a host tech tree gets a sub tree that doesn’t mean that sub tree’s vehicles are now owned by the host tech tree.

It doesn’t hurt me, but what about the Chinese? They say they don’t want the Thai VT-4 to have a Japanese decal on it, but people can already do this with the Chinese ZTZ-99A and other chinese vehicles in the Chinese tech tree.

Youre expecting too much logic here. Its not a logical converation its not a reasonable conversation. Its a converation about hate, nationalism and ww2.

The fact gaijin entertains this at all is stupid

The core problem is people being dumb and unreasonable.

The reason why people dont want eastern european vehicles in the ussr tech tree is becayse there is no real reason to do so. The ussr tech tree is massive, the tanks are completely unrelated besides ancestral bond. A way more reasonable choice would be a united tt, as many of the nations composing it are nato members in the first place.
For an asian tech tree its a different story natuons vary massively and realistically have very little to offer. China essentially has already a subtree thailand going to japan makes sense from a game pov, a united asian tt would very little to offer and would be a bad addition imi

Dont bring stupid politics into this.

It was sold and exported to Thailand. “VT4” is not unique to china.

I am another Thai player and I can assume more than 90% of Thai players love and prefer to be the sub tree of Japan and if you’re not believe me I can send you the War Thunder Thailand Community and you can join there and ask all the Thai people there what do they think. Are you brave enough?

Then what is the point of having Pakistan there in the first place???
