Vehicles getting delayed like that just because some don’t like the political aspect surrounding it is just insane. I hope we get VT-4 and M1A2T in the next few updates.

Yeah, pretty hilarious we had:
- Chinese community complains. No VT-4 for Thailand.
- US community complains. No M1A2T for Taiwan.
Now we get a copy-paste Oplot, which shouldn’t be a 100% copy-paste, what’s the justification for a Pakistani vehicle even going into the Chinese sub-tree? It was a vehicle that was only ever trialed, it didn’t even enter service with Pakistan.
Now I’m not saying it should be, but Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. So shouldn’t it have a greater justification to go into the Commonwealth line after the Vickers MBT 7?

genuinely does the British need another nation? They already have Australia, Canada, South Africa, India, etc.
Looking at top tier jets there’s already a SA Gripen, UK Eurofighter & possibly IN Rafales all in the same tree. And thats not even accounting all the other domestic stuff UK can get, in both ground or Air
besides, China-Pakistan relations is extremely close, even the government themselves said this

Pakistan is China’s biggest arms buyer (63% of chinese arms exports) and they’ve done many different joint development on military & non-military stuff. So its not too far fetched of an Idea for Pakistan (+Bangladesh) to be added to CN

The original plan for a Japanese sub-tree was Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore with the accidental leak all the way back in July of last year. Singapore’s plans were only changed in anticipation of a Chinese meltdown over a Thai VT4 and that got reinforced further when it actually happened.
If anything Singapore as a tree was taken from Japan not China and everything is downstream of the VT4 situation. People in the west wouldn’t care about what China gets if the Chinese player base weren’t hyper aggressive about their vehicles getting put in other tech trees. It’s all reactionary and the M1A2T would probably be getting added in this update if there wasn’t the massive meltdown about the VT4.
Also you call it “racism”, but maybe you should look at what Chinese players were saying about slavic and south east asian people over on the War Thunder section Tieba forum after the Thai VT4 was leaked.

The Leopard 2SG was planned for Japan, and that only changed when Chinese players got angry. See how that works.
But the only time they actually boycott it is when the Chinese player base does it first. Notice how American players are annoyed about the AH-64E being added to a bunch of trees, but they aren’t sending Gaijin threats over it.
When only 1 player base gets this upset over a video game, it sounds like a them problem.
People were already talking about ddosing Gaijin and sending threats after the first leak of the VT4 before CM502KG was known about.
I regularly talk in Japanese when I see a Japanese player and the most I see are people complaining to send messages in English, so they can understand. Your average person can’t even tell the difference between the two and I haven’t seen anything worse than that. People will also get chatbanned very quickly for that stuff, but the people on Tieba were getting celebrated for what they were saying.

Gaijin’s treatment of western players is very different compared to the Chinese. Just look at the state of Chinese vehicles in game. Western players are definitely kept more happy than the Chinese ones
Everyone protested against the economy changes back then too. There’s nothing wrong with making your demands heard. This isn’t the problem of the players its the fault of Gaijin because Gaijin should have listened more to the playerbase. If they had done that there wouldn’t have been review bombings.
Not on the same scale as after the Cm502KG was revealed.
That’s only because the game chat is moderated by Gaijin. If you go on Reddit or any other similar platform, you’ll see a lot more blatant racism. And the people there doesn’t exactly get punished for doing so either. And you can’t just use the actions of a few players to determine the nature of the entire community

And the result of the protesting shows that it actually does work, since Gaijin has been way more understanding of the Chinese playerbase and pushing out good changes for the Chinese tech tree right now

Such as? The Chinese tree has been doing pretty well and the ZTZ-99 got a massive model overhaul before multiple other tanks that have much larger issues. I think things like the Challenger 2 and Type 10 have more issues individually than multiple Chinese vehicles combined. Hell the Ki-102 Otsu has been missing it’s ground attack capabilities for something like 12 years now and the current best Ki-45 sits in the Chinese tree.
I’ll also remind you that the old and sorry state of the Chinese tree was the result of the Chinese research manager that was ethnically Chinese, so why put the blanket blame on “westerners” or Gaijin when it was a Chinese person feeding Gaijin bad info. Since then the Chinese tree has seen a massive increase in additions and QoL changes.
There is a difference between protesting a change that is universally beneficial to the entire community and protesting to screw over another tree and a community that wants to see their country represented in game. They aren’t equivalent.
CM502KG wasn’t even able to be tested until the 2nd dev server opening and there were hundreds of threads that had to be shut down over simply over the VT4 leak before the first dev blog. It was already a massive freak out that was way out of proportion before the CM502KG. Maybe it got bigger after, but it was already absurdly big before that.
Yes, they do get banned. Reddit is probably even more hyper moderated than here. The difference being that all the examples you give will get you banned/post deleted on the forums or reddit, but on Tieba you get celebrated and your post stays up. That’s why.

No one gives a rats ass if the Chinese player base demands their vehicles get fixed. It’s when they ask for special treatment that harms other trees and against established precedent that has the rest of the community upset.

The type 10 literally has the best firepower in game and insane mobility. The ZTZ99A has good mobility and nothing else. Its basically a light tank with the worst firepower in game.
Ok well China also has one of the worst CAS capabilities in top tier.
Gaijin still did little to fix the issues after that guy got fired. The ZTZ99A, for example, still has massive weakspots that shouldn’t exist, no spall liners, which Gaijin promised, a lackluster shell and reload, which we have proof of that should have been performing much better, and a lot of incorrect modelling. Same thing occurs to the other Chinese MBTs at top or high tier.
It isn’t to screw up other trees. You’re missing the main point. It is to make the Chinese tree better. Most Chinese people couldn’t care less about the VT4. It’s just that gaijin has done way too much things to disgust the Chinese player base.
Don’t label the entire community because of the actions of the few.
That’s just debatable. And I don’t think u go on Tieba often

How is it special treatment? If gaijin didn’t do all those things to disgust the Chinese players there would be little to no backlash around the Vt4. The VT4 and CM502KG is just the last straw. People just got fed up that so many wrong things were done at once. In fact if the VT4 and CM502KG happened separately some time apart from each other there would be no such massive backlash

The Type 10 is missing a decent bit of armor if I recall correctly, and its mobility is severely lacking due to how gaijin doesn’t properly model it’s transmission.
