Perhaps, but this is such a comparatively innocent and minor thing for mainland china players to lose their shit over. I’d be surprised if a) the Thai VT4 gets cancelled permanently, and b) gaijin ever took these complaints and legal threats as any more than the whining of a particular loud minority of players or even community members.

Like I told before…
as I say, players are already lossing, for these who raised this idea, they have nothing lose(or you can say they already loose), buy gaijin will surely get a loss in income.
and L2PL is not a good example, people argued on this thousands times, it’s there because it’s a leopard, a Germany tank.
It’s already pretty clear there’s only four possible outcomes, and one is more likely than the others.
- They carefully listen to feedback, fix issues with Chinese vehicles and the techtree and fix the representation of subtrees in a way the bad implications of the VT-4 being “under Japan” are removed so Thailand can get their tank.
- They only listen to the Chinese side of players, fixing some or all of their problems, but unfairly treating Thailand in the process and setting a precedent for export vehicles that will be an issue for others in the future.
- They only listen to the international side of players, meaning they don’t do much at all. No bug fixes, VT-4 being added without improving subtrees. Nothing really changes, but nothing improves either.
- They decide to take the easy way out and only withhold the VT-4, but not do bug fixes or other improvements to the Chinese tree. China wins absolutely nothing and Thailand loses a tank.
Sorted by most to least work for Gaijin, it doesn’t look good here.
Also worth noting that the first and last option would probably compromise Gaijins earnings the least, since any option leaning towards only one side of an argument will lead to controversy and backlash. So to me it looks likely none of us will have a great result here.
Not gonna happened
50% of possibility
25% of possibility
99% of possibility.
this is a mine for the future. but considering that this argument is also a mine gaijin set in the past, it may happen.
it’s more like a small fix of some easily fixed thing as a small treat and leave the rest, and the delay of VT-4 until a suitable time (which Gaijin had before but ruined by themself), then keeps doing as before until next time they trigger another mine they set for themself
When they decided to response to this issue then it already setting a mine to they foot. Current situation only led to two outcome, whether China players happy other players furious or the opposite way. Gonna understand their demand is based on a political factor, and the factor also not a formally stated Chinese government’s opinion but just some extremist players opinion. If Gaijin accept their demand just showing to other extremist players at others TT how to “effectively” letting devs “listen” to you, and the outcome will be a disaster.
They not gonna be satified will small fix, what they want is not small fix but a huge buff that made China TT become the strongest. And if you ask where is my answer based on just go to read the mandarin forum and China forum like Tieba.
like I said, some unreasonable people that speaks loud, I know these people a lot. a quick read during this chaos time doesn’t mean a good understanding of the complex community.
and I can say, the small treat will settle this like it always.
it’s not a yes or no situation. the topic raised and attracted trolls and many other people, the thing will fade if gaijin handle this well.
actually they had this kind of chance before. the “promise” isn’t a serious one, and the Thai is already announced, so most people think it will come in some time. if handled properly, only some quickly faded argue will raise and gone quickly.
and you can also see similar words here in this forum about other TTs, there is always this kind of things.

We’ll see
anything is possible in this game
and uhm VT-4 will eventually come to Thai Subtree anyway
look at the example of so called Gaijin listen to Community
T58 Heavy Tank : so many people vote it to be a Techtree Tank but guess what a premium tank
so no matter what gonna happened “Royal Thai Army VT-4” will come anyway
if you wanna go Political that much? uhm the exit that way
well, most “normal” community members are active in private community, they are usually very young players, the open community is a gathering place for them, it’s easier to see these players than normal community like here, you can also see others criticize their viewpoints, then no longer bother with them because they are quite annoying.
the loud minority.
if you really want to know some, maybe you can join a big Chinese squad’s chat group.
I sure hope it’s possible, but it would be the most work for Gaijin since they’d need to work on bug fixes and improving the situation for the Chinese tree, which also might lead to the community expecting the same for others in the future too. Then for the Thai VT-4 to work seamlessly in the subtree they’d need to improve the subtree system, which is possible, but also very complicated and not something that can be rushed.
Even if they do try to go for a perfect solution like this, they would have plenty of chances to mess up and still draw backlash. So as much as I hope they put in such effort I feel like they might go for an easier solution, which would just mean having everyone lose.
When is Gaijin actually listen to players and fix their game?😅
uhm last time on like what 2-3 years ago?
and i think you expectation is too high for Gaijin to fix your issue so called “Political” thingy about Thai VT-4
It’s hard to say. Gaijin has piled up a mountain of ISSUE that should have been fixed and modified, but they are still eager to promote new vehicles or mechanisms.
small treat comes with long lazyness, as always
Honestly, withholding the VT-4 feels like an immensely slippery slope to be standing on and sets a terrible precedent for the future. I mean, if one community can block a vehicle’s addition, what’s to stop the others from joining in on the badwagon, especially in the case of future additions to the Chinese TT (looking at you M1A2T). Just my two cents though
This situation isn’t as drastic are making it out to be. The Thai VT-4 will be added eventually; that’s not in doubt. The real question is how Gaijin will implement it. The current community feedback is simply a normal part of the process, and it will likely lead Gaijin to adjust their approach for a more acceptable implementation.
Instead of seeing this as a problem, perhaps it’s worth considering why there is such sustained and vocal feedback from a significant part of the community. A healthy developer-community relationship should involve listening to player concerns. The final decision, of course, rests with Gaijin to balance gameplay, history, and community sentiment.
