Top Tier Sweden Air is pretty problematic

It’s workable.
You have a monstrous missile set that can force people defensive quite well, however the speed bleed will make notching a bit annoying at times.
BVR is entirely possible, as long as you keep in mind you aren’t a frontline BVR fighter.

I personally don’t like base bombing at top tier, and I don’t play cas.
However for ARB, this doesn’t affect the jet whatsoever.

I sort of get some of it though, without making such tweaks to the planes there would be very odd BR gaps and strange combinations of some things being to high for the BR while others way to low for the BR making thhe vehicle really hard to play, just look at the JA37Di with ARH missiles, it has to have a higher BR due to the missiles but the airframe and the rest of it is really bad compared to everything else at the BR. I personally don’t mind this and do like when vehicles are as close to IRL as possible and only adjusted by BR, but i also understand why that isn’t really reasonable to do for everything.

I get it. Swedish jets are just not fit for War Thunder (smh how could they not think of 2025 WT when designing the plane). But it would be nice if Gaijin stopped throwing them under the bus any chance they get.

So it’s just what they say they could integrate if the customer wishes, not what it always can do no matter what. The entire JAS39 system is sort of a “build a bear” where you pick and choose parts to integrate and what capabilities you want it to have, not every version is capable of every listed thing.

Nice catch, thanks for the noticing. Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. Still, I find it a bit annoying, as it’s only a minor buff that’s going to make the second worst multi purpose fighter in top tier slightly better

No worries, i fully get it. Sometimes something seems so very obvious that you get baffled by people questioning it just for it to turn out that they are correct x) I’ve personally done exactly the same mistake with reports on engine power and had no idea what “channel loss” was, i even did the same with the CV90 tracking :P

It changed how i view the reports, how i actually read things and assume that there is an explanation i don’t know yet until i know 100% that there is no explanation.

that was changed because they buffed the A variant in several ways to make it nearly equal to a C, like HMD.
Which made the direct addition of the C afterwards unnecesary

the gripen NG would in fact be the best addition in this case, it is practically the same fuselage as the C, with 2 more wing pylons (that is, 8 missiles), aesa radar, good rer and maws.

it would be perfect as a transition between C and E.

They should have gotten the Gripen NG 9 months ago. Thats the only meaningful issue

Yes, the NG should have come alongside the Eurofighter and rafale, but it still doesn’t stop the fact that the 39E shouldn’t be coming yet.

The only reason for it to not come yet is because it can come with IRIS-Ts to create a natural progression.

But the aircraft itself is on par with the Rafale already in game

Gripen E will be here when it’s ready. If it doesn’t release, that’s because it’s not playable.

F-16I is sad because it has incorrectly lower thrust than F-15E despite having the same exact engines and a lower channel losses.
Gripen E will be added when it’s ready, it may very well be 14.0 seeing how there are still 14.3s at 14.0.

Mirage 2000-5F was never C5 copy-paste. Different cockpit and store capabilities at minimum.

I mean we already have the rafale and the ef. It wont have anything special. If they add the meteors every other plane will also get it. Same for iris. If it doesnt then it will just have the 120+9m combo

Gaijin can add the 39NG however they see fit due to there being so many iterations of it.

If the E is added at 14.0 (and it comes with everything it should have) it’s going to be the most overpowered 14.0 in the game lol x)

I’m even slightly hoping that they add two of them, one “early” and one “late” or something like that. There are so many things they could play around with to fill the gap until the E that they could probably design two version to be equidistant in BR between the C and E. :P

This makes exactly zero sense. You can add it now, in the former state, then either add the upgrades when they arrive (as gaijin has done before) or add another “variant” with the upgrades.

This is exactly the thing i don’t like :P
I personally want them to wait with adding vehicles until those vehicles can be added in their full glory straight of the bat, it just feels sad to get a “unfinished” vehicle when you can just as well wait and get the full thing later. I do not like the “this vehicle can’t have x ability/ammo because that is not a mechanic/ammunition in the game yet” way of doing things.
