So I see premium packs selling for £63 UK and that seems to be about 80 dollars US.
That is twice the price of a years premium and about as much as a top game on xbox. That is a hell of a lot of money.
Somebody must be falling for this because I am being told that an influx of such spenders in top tiers is killing the game.Direct entrants make bad players and they only have one vehicle.
So I am simply asking, for such a hideous price would it not make sense to completely unlock the whole tech tree before the Premium BR of the newly acquired vehicle so the player could at least run a full line up to and including the the BR of the premium and also go back and learn the game at an earlier BR?
So for example you buy a 9BR vehicle premium pack then you should also unlock the chosen tech tree up to 9BR .Not asking much for 40,50,60 pounds UK is it really and it helps the game by new players being able to run a full line up.
Alternately ,give them endless re-spawns like the 6BR M51.

I don’t think it is that fair even with SP in GRB, 2 spawns is enough + usable stuff on top of that (forgot how they call in english). At least this will help a bit.
I believe (as a wallet warrior myself) that at best prems get one backup each match regardless of how many are active, I do believe though that the large influx of premium players at top tiers is a decently large issue currently as they tank winrates for their country at the BR and sadly I don’t see any direct solution to the issue as level based matchmaking would allow better players to smurf and drop 80 on a premium only to delete lobbies of newer players and allowing people who buy prems to have the tech tree up to a certain BR is both unfair to those who have grinded and wouldn’t stop the issue of noobs at top tier as you can have multiple T-80s or M1A1s but still be a burden on your team as you don’t know enemy’s weaknesses and where your rounds can pen. I feel that if there were a “newcomer” gamemode it would still be very easily gone into by higher level players via smurfs and we can already see higher level players at reserve tier “seal clubbing” and farming newer players. All in all theres no one good fix for it other than not having the premiums in the first place and thats very obviously something that Gaijin wouldn’t want to do
But if Gaijin are going to do it then give the person more than one vehicle. 80 dollars is nothing for a whole tech tree up to the BR of the Premium vehicle purchased. If they want direct entry then who much should they pay for it? 100 dollars 200?
Personally as some who has spent on this game I think £63 is ridiculous for one vehicles but that aside we can supposedly see the damage this is doing to team play with new players having only one vehicle and the ODL that results.
Gaijin would do better to sell direct entry if it means to not try and con us all that it isnt.
So fun fact on that one it is technically possible to get direct entry to a certain BR but it will run you a lot of money. As I’d said about direct entry though it wont make somebody all that skilled. Having the ability for a lineup at the BR is nice but if the player isn’t very skilled the match is going to be tanked a lot harder. Some specific vehicles that are very powerful (Ex. 2S25M with its 3BM60 round at 10.0) may be useful for them but in the end they will end up dying multiple times. The way the TT grind works is so the person playing learns the systems gradually over time (like 6.7+ Air introduces players to jet aircraft and around 8.7 players are introduced to IR Guided AAMs) so a player being pushed right into 12.7 Air with no experience is going to likely be dead weight as they don’t know how to use weapons systems like radars and how to use missiles. Put into ground they wouldn’t know how to use SACLOS missiles, APFSDS and where to shoot, Thermals, NVDs, Radar systems on SPAA, IRCM, APS (Though no prem I know of has a mounted APS so this is more of how to counter) and advanced armors such as ERA. Like I said I believe backups are the best possible idea with maybe it being 3 spawns but unlike the M-51 which allows for someone to spawn in 6 times as no matter the spawns/vehicles an unskilled player will be a burden on the team. I agree £63 is ridiculous (around $70-75 in USD) for pixels on a screen but that is something that will likely never go away

Nobody can deny that is true but at least of they run four slots the can get better quicker and stick around and help a team.Zero chance of that currently.
I bought a Japanese vehicle at 5BR when my line up was all 1 BR and it helped me fly though tree tree but of course I had been around the block a bit by then,I know what you mean.I just think we have to make the best of a bad situation.
It might also be an incentive to but for Gaijin, hell I might even have a dabble myself.
Six re spawns lets them just keep going until they learn as opposed to just being wiped out and being classed as ODL by all.

True, more ability to play the game does help a lot. I wish that WT had more access to AI missions for ground vehicles as customs could be a decent way to learn them but most the time ground customs are goofing around with multiple a lot of people in the air. Actual matches are a little trickier with learning because of the steep curve at higher BRs but I will admit it is one of the fastest ways someone might learn. Myself for example when I was still a little baby at this game I played the M1128 Wolfpack and eventually learned the weaknesses of enemy armors and the easiest places to shoot. I don’t think going straight to the BR is the answer but rather if like 2-3 prems of different classes (Light, Medium, and TD at higher tiers and maybe Light, Medium, Heavy at lower tiers) were grouped into one pack of similar pricing. It would allow for a newer player to learn multiple systems at once while allowing them to still have a lineup. Sadly something Gaijin would likely never implement but its a thought nonetheless
Also I do think prem vehicles should come with more backups as the usual 30 gets blown thru really quickly
A pack for 70USD of WW2 vehicles works really well for this, keeps the money maker going too.
After that it’s by ranks, unlock rank 6 and you get access to rank 6 prems and so on.
is the price too high? Yes, But from gaijins Pov people are buying them regardless of price.
It caters to people who don’t have a lot of time to play due to work or irl stuff, or sweaty basement dwellers who want to grind a nation faster. Also most want to play top tier and not mess around with low/mid.
It is a buisness after all and they have to try and cater to all types of players.
I think they have something somewhat similar every now and again with the named WWII vehicles like the IS-2 Revenge. (I completely forgot the others, mb) If they did it with premiums already seen ingame (ex. Grouping the M26 T99, T29, and M18 Super Hellcat) into one little pack it would keep money flowing along with giving the player a somewhat diverse lineup to play the BR

Honestly yeah, more people do go for top tier but imo mid tier is the most fun. Top tier air turns into a missilefest and top tier ground is practically a point and click adventure game. Premiums are definitely meant to cater to more busy individuals or people who want to get to top tier the fastest (or impatient idiots like myself) but a lot of newer people end up buying them to try to get a headstart in the game
Gaijin will likely never lower their prices though because no matter what the money flows in so they have no real incentive to
yep! would be nice if gaijin released a pie chart on what % of vehicles people buy, Then could release some statement saying we’re focusing more premiums in this bracket because of so and so. I know some companys do this and it’s actually pretty cool to see what does well in what areas.
I doubt they’ll ever lower the prices for the newest stuff, It will more then likely go up as we get more and more modern which will be interesting to see what they do with it.
Honestly I feel like ground is the most messed up in terms of getting more modern cause there’s only so many more T-72/90s or M1A2s left before they run out but air isnt as badly because there are many variants of aircraft already there left like the F-15E(X) or F-15(C?) STOL or the Su-30, Su-33, etc. I feel premiums will end up being prototype or experimental vehicles going forward but nonetheless what Gaijin does will be very interesting
Adults have jobs and no time, so having a job you can earn some money that you can have fun with. You should try it.
Give the free backup Mechanic that are presented in the Israeli M-51 and Sakeen. But instead of 3 reduce to 2.
