All T-90Ms prior to 2022 were built from refurbished T-90 hulls because Russia didn’t restart that capability until something happened in 2022
Su-30SM was built new, but this is really just a domestic version of the indian Su-30 from 2002
Su-27SM was an MLU program from the early 2000s, I have no clue how old the program is, because I have seen it being referred to forum post as early as 2005
almost everything you list is upgrades of older vehicles…
the T-80BVM for example is basically a mid 1970s tank with a new FCS and new ERA.
Same with the Abrams.
The M1A1HC, M1A2 and up magically gain 200mm of kinetic protection with the same armour lay out, if that’s not DU what is it?
That is a good summery of Russia in the 1990s to 2000s, the USSR collapsed in 1991 and Russian military development basically stopped until the early 2000s. For example the R-77 was only ever produced in large numbers for export, the Russian air force basically used the R-27s until the R-77-1 became available in 2015.
And that’s the root cause of the issue, the collapse of the USSR put Russia back 15 to 20 years is its R&D and the game is not balanced on date of service.
None? That’s the thing, the russians lagged behind weapon development because of the collapse of the Soviet union. Also calling SEP V2 having armor from the 80s is hilariously misleading when incremental upgrade of Composite inserts happened between, guess what SEPs
The hull didn’t get any upgrade whatsoever, any top tier shell can go through like butter.
None of the SEPs that got added did any good to the US tech tree, just more tank to waste time on grinding but in the end you find out that they’re worse than the previous ones.
Because US focused on Turret upgrades because the Abrams was made to defend the Fulda in prepared defensive positions, also the fact that they have been fighting insurgencies means they never had a reason to upgrade except improving durability (ergo multihit capabilities) of the DU inserts instead of actual armor value
Blame the US for not giving Abrams improved hull until the SEPV3
Ah yes, you’d know better than the country that spends 20mill dollars per tank, and billions on their ground units.
The armor that’s ingame is based on export models, non of them is the actual armor that’s in the actual tank, DU gets removed and anyother armor that’s classified just like the version that been sent to Ukraine not having the armor it should get, but that didn’t stop it from performing better than their counterparts.
