I don’t know how else to explain it. I was in a fighting with an F-15 in my J-10. Someone else ends up hitting him and as I fly by I flare to make sure he doesn’t fire a sidewinder at me while he dies. All the sudden I get credit for the kill which confused me. Then at the end of the match I get a “Fire Arrows” reward, and then I find this stat. So I watched the replay and this is how it happened.
Have you guys had this happen? I didn’t even know it was possible.
flares are modelled as projectiles under the weapons category hence they count as hits which in turn count as damage hence the kill (you got the last hit in ig)
Got a kill with Chaff once as well.
It is a normal behavior but quite rare !
Reminds me of that time i killed a plane with a torpedo while i was sailing around : Custom battle, the plane was parked near the coast and a “scientific” experiment was of course in order, or maybe it was just intrusive thoughts, who knows X)
