Think dollar plays got permission to have that account iirc
Because i sadly do not have an answer to them :(
So does that mean that for Squadron Battles side of things owning alt accounts is still ““allowed”” even with
section 3.5 (Ban on Account Sharing). Taking an effect as long as they are only used by the owner of said account?
I’m not in a rush, i’ll wait for an answer as long as i need to.
Edit: Thank you for responses btw, don’t get me wrong i am not trying to be negative, i just need to know how things will work from now on for Squadron Battles side of things.
So from what I am reading from this is nothing really new has been done to the ToS, just more junk no one will read nor follow and some bits reworded to be more cryptic like all ToS rewrites do. If anything can be taken from this is it just gives them more arbitrary reasons to ban you or penalize you with.
The stuff about review bombing, account sharing, and the use of Gaijin IP were all a good laugh.
The age verification junk and the anti cheats data harvesting is concerning though.
Age verification has been nothing but a failure since it’s massive implementation lately, I hope they don’t plan on walking down the same road as Twitch, Discord, and the UK did.
The data harvesting is a bit excessive, they be reaching deep in some areas. I can’t see why they would need data on your system files, memory, services, and drivers. Running processes and applications I can see are more related to sniffing out cheat programs but the rest of it seems more like just corporate data harvesting like what banks do. I suppose they will probably want our DNA next.
I do not disagree that it is not the ideal way to try and sort out an issue but when we as a community are stone walled for multiple years without any information on pressing issues for a game mode that contains some of the most active players and those who more importantly spend a lot of money on the game you can understand why review bombs tend to happen.
I’m not a massive fan of the “blame the players” mentality of the review bomb’s over the “lets look at ourself and see where we are going wrong” mentality that this company could be taking to actually better this game and the community within.
Please see attached thread for a prime example of why your players are left with no other option but to review bomb due to lack of communication.
I also don’t understand why would anybody using more than one account? Do they really enjoy grinding the same vehicle for the second time?
A lot of the top squadrons use it to inflate their points.
Ironic that this is said, yet people do it. Not a bad thing to keep, but at the same time, those same people have also affected the BR rating system of whatever vehicles they were playing to go up.
If you are going to crack down on account sharing then you should make your only competitive game mode not completely dependent on it to move up in the top 50. Squadron battles needs more attention and you know it. and you continue to ignore it.
Does this mean that like 90% of the SA server air sim community is going to get a temp ban since they all have an unspoken agreement to only do PvE?
Isn’t it up to the player to just choose not to go after players and just go after bots? It’s not against the rules to ignore the enemy, Against the rules is when some people try to make a game PVE against the will of other people
Sure, maybe.
But if the standard is everyone only doing PvE and leaving when someone tries PvP, i feel like it is collusion to a certain degree.
At least i can still report them doing their team up to find and target me as punishment when they decide to go that route. I know that it 100% against ToS.
That’s toxic and I agree with you
You can’t stop a person leaving a game of air Sim
Correct. But i would still argue that it is collusion to some degree. I highly doubt everyone just so happened to decide to leave at around the same time and just so happened to all do it once someone does PvP.
I dont think they have to put their whole plan in chat for it to be punishable.
This is a well know thing during events where everyone does PvE in air sim and naval rb on the SA server. Anytime you do PvP, players are surprised/angry.

Well, firstly, don’t name and shame.
Secondly, if you think someone is breaking the rules then create a report for it.
There is nothing new in the ToS for alt accounts, it’s always been prohibited.

The point of this conversation is not arguing about who has how many alts or throwing rocks at eachother, it’s to figure out what’s gonna change with this TOS update and how things will work going forward because this change can singlehandedly murder an entire gamemode that simply does not have enough players otherwise and how it’ll impact all of us as a community
Edit: As mentioned before by Kaizo1911 there have been attempts on improving squadron battles as a gamemode but they were futile largely due to lack of communication. In its current state this gamemode can’t sustain itself with only active players simply because it’s not encouraging enough for players that haven’t participated in it before and without an active flow of new faces it will die off ( not like it’s very alive as is ) so alt accounts in squadron battles helped keep the activity up and drive the competition but without them we’ll see a lot of squadrons disbanding and merging into a dozen or 2 of squadrons that’ll play for the first 2 weeks and then stop playing for the other 1.5 months.
