Is it just me, or do the TKX and Type-10 feel janky turning while moving or going from stationary to moving forward or backward, like there is a 0.5-1 second delay before you start moving?
Yeah it’s not just you
Yeah, you are not the only one!
Have the issue constantly and i dont know why…
Probably something to do with how the CVT is implemented.
like: not at all?
CVT is not implemented at all
Oh it’s not? lmao wtf, did gaijin just make up a tranmission for it or?
Type 10/TKX transmission, yet changed, is not much noticiable, the vehicle still slower than Type 90 in terms of acceleration and feels extremely sensitive turning during and medium speeds. In summary, Type 10/TKX mobility still not fixed.
everything is just T-34s with mods
the game doesn’t even model traction, it just lowers the engine output depending on the surface
More due to hydropneumatic suspensions, they all sink in turns with a noticeable delay before shooting back up and killing their speed.
And tanks that do feature hydropneumatics or pneumatic suspension but not adjusteable are fine because they are modelled as regular torsion bars. See the Leclerc and Challenger for comparison.
Just good ole’ Gaijin not knowing how to code, as usual.
Not only has Gaijin refused to model the CVT transmission, they’ve also refused to take any other steps to correct it’s horribly underperforming and very janky mobility. IRL, it can effortlessly outaccelerate a Type 90 and bleeds next to no speed in turns, in game the Type 90 easily outpaces it, and any hard manuever causes it to oversteer and bleed all of it’s speed.
Friendly reminder that they’ve also refused to model regenerative steering, which is a WW2 era technology that would seriously reduce the amount of speed lost in turns, for a wide number of (mostly non-Soviet) vehicles.
When they model the CVT, maybe they can model the turret basket too since shooting into those is like shooting into an empty can
This has been bug reported ever since the first Type 10 was released 5 years ago.
The devs don’t care. It’s a fix that would take probably seconds, yet here we still are.
My most recent, vain attempt;

There is bugs still out there for the type 10 and tkx’s spanning 3+ years even since implementation, we only recently got the Type 10’s tracks after a whole problem was caused on one of the forum posts…
To get these issues fixed, we have to blast them into the staffs face? (This shouldn’t be the case but in regards to the tracks seemed to actually work)
even arcady ahh WoT models traction lmao
Same situation with the leclerc as well and challengers 2s but they are heavy and have a weak engine unlike the leclercs and type 90,type 10 and tkx in which both of them have higher hp/ton.
The Leclercs engine is more powerful than the Challenger 2s and Type 10s + the S2 and SXXI only have ~0.3 less HP/t than the Type 10 (the S1s power-to-weight is better)
Exactly which is why it make 0 sense that the leclerc and type 90,10 and tkx would feel so sluggish, they really need to rework the transmission on these tanks the fact that a merkava mk3 and mk4 feels more snappy is crazy to me
Edit typo
