Good Time of Day All,
In short, I’m sick of going deaf due to Allied engine sounds. In a game that is striving for realism, it doesn’t make sense to have a double standard for engine sounds. Either make all engine sounds the same volume or remove the option to adjust it from the options menu.
At this point, I think a minimum detection radius of enemy vehicles based on the keen vision skill would be a more realistic implementation of the sound function than what we currently have.
It’s a flimsy ranty argument I know but here it is.
P.S. what I really would like to achieve is to be able to adjust the volume and not feel like I’m being uncompetetive or losing an edge.
Kind Regards, GLHF

Maybe I’m misremembering, but can’t you turn down allied engine noises in settings? I know you can turn down your own, but I’m not sure on allies. But yes, I do wish they would overall improve the sounds of the game when it comes to engine noises.

Allow me to clarify, all other vehicle engine sound is amplified for allied vehicles.
I really hope I haven’t bought into some dumb youtube conspiracy about engine noises now that I think about it. My understanding is that the volume for allied vehicles is much higher than that of enemy ones.
no its not, this may be a misconception because the when you first spawn in a match you are surrounded by many allies and it is very loud. whereas the 1 enemy that you get really close to in a game isnt very loud compared to your entire team right next to you at the start of the game

I have a feeling you are correct. I’m going to test it in a custom match and I’ll let you’s know
