Well, this is what we got. A 1.0 br range pressed in matches in which most vessels desperatly search for a place to be. On top of that we got certain ships that simply dominate all others. As much as I love the naval game mode, there´s a lot of room for improvement.
As it is right now, the match-making would be better off based on ship-ranks than battle-rating. Of course it´d be allowed to bring in a lower ranked vessel but you will never face an uptier unless you chose to. Maybe a handful of ships would have to swap class. But that´s it.
HMM!! Never thought of that, but now that you mention it I think it’s a phenomenal idea!!!
If you 1V1 VS ZALA or other IJN heavy cruisers, I don’t thin Eugen will get any advantage.
I partly agree with what you’re saying in regards to the different game modes. Although a lot more factors come into play when talking about ground battles, such as hiding places, flanking, maneuverability, CAS, teammate support. As far as Aircraft battles go, I think that is a mode where skill dominates. 1.0 BR difference would suggest the vehicles are pretty close in their abilities, but that’s just not the case with USS Sumner or Frank Knox vs. Hipper class.
Well would you look at that now. PE is getting bumped up to 6.0
3 focused Sumner class has a very good odds to sink Hipper class
FML, so you are the genius to thank for PE/Hipper going to 6.0.
“Thanks, friend”.
I had a few games since: MM keeps placing me next to battlecruisers and so on. Not a single downtier. Naturally, the enemy looks at the field and goes for PE/Hipper first cause it pops like fireworks off any 283mm+ shell. It’s been rough, FML.
Don’t forget, Gaijin just made it so you can’t use PE to research Bavaria/SH. And by moving PE to 6.0 it made overall research of what’s still available to her much slower cause now she lives much less due to being primary target early in the match. So, yea, this made a need to either talisman whatever is above her / buy premium.
So, your lil ask to move PE/Hipper to 6.0 produced nothing but grief. “Great job, boyscout”.
On the bright side I just had a nice sandwitch, so there’s that.
