Tiger armor

Why do most of them get less kills than the heavys?

If you’re blindly going into battle thinking your armor will save you, you will die.

The Tiger II can’t face the M60.
As I already said the Ratel 20 isn’t really good.
The M51 is a glass cannon the heat shell is the only thing it got going for it.

Era seperation is stupid. The ikv72(1.7) would have to fight t54s(starting at 7.7).

It’s rare to die to ATGMs at this br range. Heat is a bit more common but the post pen is horrible.

For this BR the shell is op. It got 100mm pen at 60 degree over any range. Enough to take out a tiger at any given angle.

Whenever I play the Tiger II I usually get killed by CAS, IS series tanks, and the T34. Sometimes theres the odd M18 or M41 that flanks me. ATGMs aren’t an issue at 6.7 imo.

Personally, I want decompression up to 15.0-16.0, but that’ll never happen.

The Tiger performs very well.

The shell is not OP. It has 0 post pen damage, and the tank itself is one of the easiest tanks to kill at its BR. I would much rather have a Russian 85mm, or an American 76mm at 5.3.

I never advocated for full era separation.

Not wanting midwar Heavy Tanks to face Cold War ATGMs does not equal wanting IKV 72s being 7.0 or Pz.38ts facing KV-2s.

You know its not true. Its just not 0 post pen damage.

Only era seperation that makes heavys overpowered.

The pt is easy to kill.

All I ask is that vehicles whose’s ENTIRE existence’s point is armor can actually benefit from their armor.
They sacrifice size, they sacrifice acceleration, they sacrifice top speed, they sacrifice turning ability… all just so they can have good armor. For what, for some time-traveller to completely ignore its armor like a hot knife through butter? What’s the point, then?

Heavys don’t need a buff. If they got one they would be massivly overperforming.

So a heavily armored tank being able to rely on its heavy armor is making it overperofming.

In order for them not to “overperform”, they must be relegated to being just slower medium tanks…?

Tbh, at higher BRs are alot light vehicles / unarmored vehicles. Its not impossible the lkv would actually work to a certain degree. I noticed it with the 20mm Wiesel, which got just 60 pen or something…its far from beeing useless vs. ground.

Anyways, would never advocate to up BR the lkv. But things like the M51 with 400mm pen are annoying.

Giving a vehicle with a KDR clos to 3 a buff would probably result in overperforming.

The Tiger I almost never meets tanks with HEAT, or HEAT-FS, so it can very easily use its armour to its advantage. Even the TIger II doesn’t face that many tanks with those rounds. Additionally, every tank with those rounds is incredibly easy to kill. I’d be way more afraid of a T-54 or Centurion, than a Ratel or M51 when I’m in a Tiger II H.

Currently, both are excellent tanks, but the II suffers from some compression, but then again everything above 6.0 does.

The most dangerous thing you can face in a Kungstiger is another Tiger II.

Most tanks heavies face have conventional rounds, and they are currently equal or better than medium tanks.

If they weren’t good, the 2 best 6.7 tanks wouldn’t be the Tiger II H and T26E5.

The T34 is good aswell.

I don’t even know why I am bothering so much with this thread, I haven’t played the Uptier Thunder medium Tiers are for months because of this, I will just head back to Top Tier where at least uptiers can’t happen lmao

Completely false. The Tiger I was designed to stop 57, 75, short 76(not the 76 on fury’s or the 17-pounder on the Firefly. It also would most certainly not survive an 85mm.
