I feel like the data breach is the main problem, however the fact that the person then went and harassed the kid indicates that they are willing to take malicious action, using said data. It could indicate a worrying trend where this can and will probably happen to many other people.
“We knowingly worked with cheat maker and used data from data breach he provided. Now, after being exposed, we somehow are good guys here”
Sure, sure… believeable.
Thunder skill has existed since when exactly, that one also uses player data to show the same stats as statshark, which makes me think theres some API outhere accesible for that stuff otherwise gaijin would have actively shut down thunder skill since eons ago. Also idk if the cheat maker made a cheat only for himself and didnt share it to anyone, that is suspicious by itself but if the person itself didnt behave in any weird way idk why wouldnt they had declined his help. Also statshark is literally free for anyone to use while doing stuff like the missile fly path calculator that not even gaijin does, or the sensor 3D viewer, they deserve respect for the help they give for such a community as war thunder one is.
‘we did talk to him about it and were assured that it wouldn’t happen again, or else we would disassociate ourselves from him’
In other Words they don’t care and continue as usual…just half of what he did should warrant a perma ban as well as complete and immediate exclusion of him…not just ‘talked to him, all fine now’…zero consequences…
This is concerning - never using that site again certainly does feel this is an abuse of the game as well which should warrant higher attention or action.
