Why am I being matched in a tier 7 against tier 8.5-9.0? How in what world does this make a damn bit of sense? A tiger 2 facing ATGMs? I hear everyone say realism on one hand but on the other you have PZR 2000s being used as direct attack weapons which they arent.
Pick one…
Then on top of all this, 9 matches in a row I am hit by something from somewhere on the map, of course the 100% guaranteed gun breaking and engine and you just sit there. Sit there while you are being shot nonstop making repair totally pointless. Whats the point? So you can be farmed by some 20k hour basement kid who is breaking gun and track to farm hit points or to be “cool” and just grief players?
None of this is conducive to a game. Its stupid. Its dumb and its the most poorly thought if ever thought about system.
Youre trying to make a game for EVERYONE and failing to make a game for ANYONE. Jet ramming, forced loss matchmaking, the list is endless…either way you will get NO MONEY from me.
Ok, let’s make the game realistic. You should spawn kilometers behind the frontline, not everyone, just your Tiger II and all the other logistical abominations. If you really want this game to be realistic, like realistically realistic, then logistics should be taken into account. Yet they’re not, and the Tiger II bullies almost every WWII tank in any game. Why? Because you don’t have to worry about how you got there or getting there in the first place. If you only want to face WWII tanks, then you should have to drive several kilometers to even reach the front lines, dealing with an over-engineered piece of crap crawling along at 25-26 kilometers an hour.
The vehicles are realistic. Everything else is a game. You have NATO nations fighting eachother, unrealistic camera angles, control multiple crew members at once and respawn.
Complaining about realism while you deliberately choose to play arcade instead of realistic (realistic battles are still a stretch from realism, but still) is dripping in irony lmao
Out of context per usual. I do not care either way but to say realism today and tomorrow we dont care so we can sell more premiums is the issue.
Dig through the forums. People asking for X Y and Z and being turned down due to missing “data” so devs cant make it “real” so ignore it.
Your entire statement has nothing to do with anything. No one has asked that. I dont care if a Tiger faces whatever but to blow smoke up peoples asses around supposedly being realistic but then not but then being but then not. That is the damn problem which goes back to the original issue. Barrel Breach and gunners being knocked out and matchmaking.
Is it realism to have a track hit cause a breach to be dead? A shell hiting 20m from you and now your gunner is dead? No, in no world does it make sense. Breach and barrels are 2 of the strongest parts of a tank but as i was saying, realism only works when they want it too. Barrel breach and gunner are there to force players to pay to skill crews to reduce the chance. Funny when you broadside a tank, kill EVERYONE in it yet they still turn turret, aim slowly and fire to take you out. Amazing how dead crew shoot.
A player with 150 hours in a tiger vs a player with 15000 hours in a tiger. In no world does this make any sense. 1 player has maxed crew, faster reloads, further detection, less chance of dead crew, faster repairs etc.
So you taking 1 word and skewing it to some insane idea i guess fits this game perfectly.
You’re whining about how you’re facing higher tiers/more advanced weaponry and pointing out the double standard of realism in the game, and I’m pointing out how if you want realism things would be very different, there are certain sacrifices a game has to make to remain a game.
Again, if you want a realistic game why don’t we take into account logistics as well as other variables that effect combat. Or you could stop playing arcade…
There are things called explosives. Unlike solid shot, they effect a wide area as they are explosive. Sure, the metal on a breech might be durable, but the breech still resembling a breech versus actually firing are different things. You’ll find that under heavy heat, armor will deform and a shell may not be able to be safely launched from a tank.
In some tanks, commanders can still operate the armament. So even if you kill a gunner and loader, the commander can still rotate the turret and fire.
This is realism. As a nation, you’re not going to have tank crews of all the same experience and know-how. This is especially so when a country is losing badly, and has to deploy civilian militias/partisans who were not formally trained. Think of late war Germany–they had literal kids from the hitler youth chucking grenades and engaging the allies as a normal division would. While they didn’t necessarily have kids manning tanks, of course some green recruit won’t perform the same as the likes of Otto Carius for instance.
My intense rage of not playing Squad in like a monthlong is coming in. If gaijin had a Limited Time collaboration with SQUAD; with the quality and detail of war thunder vehicle and the infantry and multi crew of Squad.
I think I’d punch a small child out of shock if it happened, but that’s not gonna happen.
