What we actually need the most right now is for gaijin to NOT touch tanks repair system whatsoever, I have zero confidence that they wouldnt make it objectively worse.

This is a good way to make sure you repair what you want to repair first Why so upset about a needed change. And this mechanic is not on World of Warships or War Thunder Mobile as they have a simple repair tool
You can already do that with pre-spearhead update.
The new update literally makes players [unable] to delay repairs.

In general i felt the new feature wasn’t needed. I feel it will give seasoned players a massive advantage because we know how it works and how it used to work.
I just read auto repairs and think of how easy it will be to permanently disable and melt down an enemy ship. Hard on a new player, easy for those who already play and are established.
And it is not. Its just another thing that will be shoved down the throats of the already very small naval player base because Gaijin wants to arcadize and/or battleroyalize everything to the fastest and lowest possible common denominator, while considering players that are smart enough to manage repairs to their benefit as “unethical exploiters”.
Well, it seems they’ve listened and made it optional! I’m assuming the new system will be the default but I have no clue.
I am a bit wary about this choice being made after the dev server closes. Hopefully it won’t lead to repairs in general being incredibly bugged when the update comes out.
I know I’ll have my work cut out trying to explain which of the two systems is better to new players that’s for sure. And hopefully there won’t be too many drastic changes in the near future, but I expect them to happen anyways.

Two good players from top 30 in naval arcade said me that their K\D dropped because of this new targeting system. So, no. It doesnt help the old players. I personally dont play arcade now because of the system.
So maybe their K/D dropped cause of nerfed dispersion, enlarged maps, BR changes, new ships, other players killing them more often, damage changes and so on. Maybe you show us you friends nicknames so we could look what they played and how they played.

Both of them Moffet/Knox/Detroit users so Moffet is in 5.3 now(Knox in 5.0), which why it now plays on bigger maps, against stronger enemies + for sure new players compete against the way easier. SS also not showing any drops in their performance.
Actually Kegeke switched from Moffet to Knox+Detroit in the middle of the summer, probably cause of Moffet struggles in current position.
both of them research all vehicles modifications. That’s what they do. The ones you mentioned are farm vehicles. Everyone farm on them.
moffet have same huge weakspot respect at frank and he suffer more in 5.3 you stay on 6.0 much of time on frank much of time is 5.3 5.0 and is playable but depend alws of experience of player

Considering the last change to equalize auto on / auto off (repair) they can 60% slower repair to auto off, and for autorepair on an 20% faster for top priority, like now for mid, and 20% slower for bottom priority.
Also not to have 5 minutes repair remove debudf for multiple repair on all mode of repair
