These 1 cap / single cap maps are not great

Just allow us to opt out of these, it promotes camping and stale behavior, almost all maps were designed to be 3 cap anyways just let us play them the way they were supposed to be played.

Even the 3 OBJ maps have the same problem. Fishbowl maps, static spawns without proper spawn protection measures to deter spawn camping/sniping, lack of dynamic OBJs to change game flow.

There’s been so much wrong with the modes for years and Gaijin just continues to sit on their hands.

Need the same for naval as well, being able to opt out of a gamemode sub-type would be awesome

Problem is, is that Gaijin hasn’t bothered to add new game modes so in their " infinite wisdom " they’ll complain that an opt-out option will negatively impact their que times.

There’s only a few, so that would be terrible for queue times, and impossible practically.

Don’t worry, nothing that bots wouldn’t be able to “solve”.
Not like the whole mode isn’t already living off of those.

This isn’t naval, you’re completely mistaken.

You replied to a dude talking about naval.

I mean, the comment could be interpreted as an argument for player match type banning in all modes, which I oppose. In naval, it would exacerbate an already worse and worsening problem, so I regard it as even less logical there.

I agree! I absolutely hate the 1 point maps!

I would rather have more map bans than this mode ban, so I agree with you. Regarding Naval, any mechanic that would further split the player base is absurdly stupid thing to ask for.

You must hate shooters in general then…
War Thunder already has every PVP game mode.

Translation: it doesnt make people play like its CoD and allows tanks to be used as tanks so i dont like it.

That’s battle mode where the match can last the full 20-25 minutes if people keep respawning (FUN!)

This is single cap where the match can end abruptly due to often uncontestable, impossible to capture single cap points (like Hurtgen’s) that end up snowballing way too hard and fast (not fun). Additionally, single-cap maps often have the most obnoxious and overwhelming amount of red crayon blocking travel.

This is because people complained about others who flanked instead of rushing the cap.

People made the maps more snowbally/impossible because they refused to look left/right.

Sometimes it even makes you fight battles already lost when spawning due to the cap point being the already weak side of the map for the side you spawn on (looking at you especially sands on sinai south side or whatever it is, with the 3 oil tanks) like, youre already disadvantaged in the 3 cap version because one team can just push while in full cover around to a hull down spot shooting in one of your spawns and you cant (or need to be very lucky while losing 50% of the people trying to even get there) contest these positions. Effectively taking one of your spawns off the map, or still tons of ppl dying there for free. Now make this cap the only one and the question of why even bothering to waste those ten minutes arises immediately when being thrown onto this version.

While sometimes a challenge and pulling off a miracle is something to look for, some single cap versions which im sure have 90% win rate for one side really make you question why youre playing this. They just dont work in this configuration and are pointless to play. I’m not entirely against single cap versions, sometimes single cap is fine, makes you play differently and adds variety to the game. 3 of them in a row? fk this im outta here, custom battles it is. Like wtf the absolutely horrid matchmaker that makes it not even a rare event playing the same map 5 times in a row, multiple tiny single cap maps in top tier in a row or whatever certainly adds insult to injury.
