Because a simple fix would be allowing test drives for any vehicle.
It is a problem because what do you mean players before, HAD to research SPAA in order to use it, HAD to use their time researching it instead of rushing tanks and only tanks, and now people who neglected the line (which they shouldnt have), are getting babysat with days worth of work given to them for free.
SPAA is not anywhere close to OP.
If you are dying to the free [stock] SPAA, learn their weaknesses and improve your capabilities.

Besides few over-BR’d SPAA, Pantsir’s BR is in-line with most SPAA in the game.
Like strela or osa need any upgrades to be effective.

I have nothing against some free SPAAs since Gaijin doesn’t really incentivice the grind for them but this is really starting to piss me off.
I hope you know this isnt about spaa being op. Its about it being given away for free when its easy to use, and removes all the point of researching spaa.
Some countries get clearly inferior spaa than others, making it a pretty bad system in general.
The cons overwhelm the pro’s, which arent even that good as I myself, dont play CAS all that much, and I dont really find it OP.

Okay, its a good argument but, what SPAA need parts, crew replenishment, mobility upgrades as much as a normal MBT does?
Proxy rounds, useful missiles, better traverse speeds, thermals for easier spotting and missile leading… to name a few.
When are we getting free planes/jets in GRB?
13 armament upgrades I’ve counted, 1 of them is proxy in sweden, the rest are either stingers or rolands, and the tunguska.
All of these SPAA are completely usable (Some more than others), except maybe the swedish Lvkv which doesnt get any proxy/missile at stock (its more of a light tank than an AA)
100% of the players that did not bother grinding out the SPAA line are given this for free, and can compete with players that bothered to grind out the line just as well.
Dont forget free strelas / osas…
Usually this happens at mid-late game when people already died 2 - 4 times and no longer have tanks to play. I rather have my team play spaa than quit. Also they can play as scout and capture, always do that when no air. Also this thing happened even before the free spaas.

It would be better if they gave a proper MBT with at least some mid pen darts, so that those who only have one tank would at least not just have something to roll into battle with, but also be more or less effective in it.

Love having free spaa and tank to go along with my new ztz96a (p). It gives me the oportunity to help more my team and better grinding.
Also for top br, now you dont have to waste 2 slots to have spaa that counter ldircm helis (saclos) and planes (irist)
