why tf does it remove an entire ground layer? is it really that hard to render a bit of terrain? do we really need a quake 3 comp settings graphics mode? like there is a point at which it becomes ridiculous and harms gameplay
no, it still has the wack LOD’s, barely any VFX, nonexistent shadows and such

One thing’s certain, it surely helps with performance.
My dude, I can list you like half a dozen mechanics that harm the gameplay even more than ULQ, but I rarely see any discussions about them. It’s like Gaijin doesn’t even want or care to give us a fair gameplay.
This is something you need to accept, the sooner the better.
Removing advantages that come with ULQ will simply turn it into low settings but with a different name.
