There is honestly no purpose for ULQ anymore

There is no ULQ in CS. I consider this to be a terribly unfair state of affairs.

i need to play on ULQ or else my 3050 laptop BSOD after 20 minutes

Removing ULQ wont change anything as there are always going to be meta settings

Doesn’t look like it has given you much of an advantage. I’d rather uninstall than try get an advantage via graphics settings (except grass in sight). I don’t care if I sometimes die to things I’d see if I was playing at ULQ. This game looking good is more important than trying to min-max my sweat stats.

It is is genuinely not an unfair advantage. Everyone has access to it. ULQ coping is some of the most ridiculous stuff this community comes up with.

If you think this is needed for fair gameplay then we should limit maximum resolution and refresh rate so people with more money don’t get any unfair advantages.

Competitive tournament players definitely know this and don’t play on maximum settings, rather use competitive settings.

They aren’t dumb.

Genuinely, what are you on about.

These topics always bring out people saying we need ULQ because they’re playing on some potato. I want those people to uninstall and leave this community and work on getting better gear. It should never be a reason to keep ULQ around. You know what I’m saying, don’t play dumb.

You cannot be serious.

not really esports ready then is it, if 1 side has a unfair advantage over the other

I know quite a few people that play on integrated graphics and don’t have the means to get better hardware. Stuff is expensive in certain parts of the world. You might just be insanely desensitized. ULQ is NOT oppressive like people make it out to be.

You understand this is free to play game that’s more than a decade old ?

No one wants to play at 35 fps.

Don’t worry I barely play avgrb.

I completely understand your point. What I’m specifically referring to are players who actually have the hardware to run the game at maximum graphics settings but deliberately choose not to.

Instead, they lower the visuals to gain a competitive edge, whether that’s spotting enemies more easily, reducing clutter, or squeezing out faster reactions.

It’s not about necessity, it’s about intentionally sacrificing visual fidelity for an advantage, and that’s where the issue lies.

What is preventing the other side from lowering their settings?

Obviously not at 1440p or 4k.

So you just added to my argument? They don’t have the hardware to play such an old game (obviously dumb argument on this part as the game is continuously updated)

I really don’t get why people cope about ULQ so much. It makes the game worse, tbh. Foliage becomes solid and harder to see through, it looks awful, and if you REALLY care this much, just enable it yourself?

ULQ isnt even better, certain high setting gives much better tank visibility than ULQ.

You don’t understand how crappy integrated graphics can be.

Just because you can run the game doesn’t mean your experience is fine. People will lower the game settings for more FPS.

I didn’t asked whether you played the most popular game mode War Thunder has to offer, btw.

God, this topic is just rage bait. And I take that bait everytime, lmao.
