9.3 only
The honest to god issue is m735 receiving the nerf it did based off some really bad information and bug reports and never having been fixed.
pen isnt everything. xm1 has like 1.5x the hp/t of every other tank on the list. its as mobile as a light tank with great gun handling while also being immune to most autocannons/heat shells
Not really it’s armor can’t even stop 400mm pen heat rounds only on the turret cheeks can you stop that anyware else is often instant death
Do to map design it’s almost impossible to flank effectively makeing your mobility a moot point
Most all medium tanks at 9.3 are resistant to auto cannons
almost everything on your list dies frontally to gepard lol. and if youre not using the xm1 to flank or play hull down thats 100% a skill issue. the tank is fine, its on you to use its strengths

That very much isnt uncommon unfortunately
Any firepower buff will put it at 9.7, making it a premium without any lineup. If it got M774+a 5 second reload I could see it going to 10.0, and you do not want that.
However I do think it had smoke grenades IRL, and it’s BR would not change if it received those.

Yeah, because of the nerf to the M735 dart, which they admitted was made based on fake/false data. And they have still not said a word about it since they admitted/was proven incorrect, blatantly so, even based on their own “standards” for implementing changes.
At the very, very, very least the M735’s erroneously nerfed penetration stats should be reverted which would go a long way to helping the main issue with the XM-1’s, which is their lackluster ammo. I love HEAT/HEATFS shells, but at that BR they are more often miss than hit.

Yeah that sucks and is a far more reasonable ask than the 5 second reload OP Was asking for for example.
But as always, Gaijin doesnt like fixing their mistakes because it means admitting they were wrong

you absolutely dont want the m735 buff or giving it m774 cos then itll be far too good for 9.3 and probably go up to 10.0. have fun fighting leo2a4/t90s lol
The M60A3 TTS has the exact same cannon as the XM-1’s, has the M774, has ERA, and is lower BR. Nah, fixing the M735 would be fine. It should never have been done anyway, and affects a lot more than just the XM-1. They messed up, it’s their fault for waiting literally years without addressing the issue.
It was also screwing up the Type 16 (FPS) so badly that they finally gave it the DM23 round. And it has NOT gone up in BR.
All the evidence proves you wrong. Fixing the M735 needs to happen. It has been far too long with this error due to Gaijin’s oversight.

We are acting like it is some sort of all holy hallelujah fix that the XM-1 has never seen before. It’s not. The XM-1 was already at this BR with the pre nerfed M735. It won’t change because it went back to the values it was. It’ll just have a slightly better shell. Slightly.

I got it two days ago bro it’s actually a decent mbt, super fast with serviceable rounds.
Only problem here is I am too dogwater to carry the team, the tank itself does have some trolley turret armor which you will be surprised how many times it bounce top ammunition of that br. It’s also incredibly good to rush enemy spawn, I’m surprised that it can easily achieve 80kph on most terrains.

Though there was the minor decompression last year? or 2024? that moved most 10.0+ tanks up 0.3. Did the XM-1 move with that? and I think that was post-nerf not pre-nerf
If it did not, then with unnerfed M735, then the 9.0 one might move to 9.3 and the 9.3 might move to 9.7 and would be equal to what it was before the pre-nerf right?

Xm-1 didnt move from what I can see, but several vehicles in the 8.7-9.3 range did, so its possible that it could get a BR correction if it was restored to previous performance

The M18 had the engine power it has now back when it was 5.0, It got nerfed non-historically to be slower before going to 5.3, And only got it back when it moved to 6.0.
Same thing with the M4A3 76 when going from 5.3 to 5.7, Sat with 50 less horsepower for a year before finally getting it back.
Or my favorite of all time, Giving the IS-2’s BR-471D to justify moving them up in BR, A shell they originally had, But lost because Gaijin said they never used it, A shell thats actually worse than the other shells it has in every way minus slightly more flat pen.
I have no doubt history will repeat itself, They probably didn’t fix M735 yet because they are waiting for a reason to move everything that uses it up first.
