First it’s reload is ridiculous at 7.8sec with one off the worst apfsds rounds at this br
It needs one of 2 things to stay competitive
Ether 1 it gets the production Abram’s reload with a base of 6.5sec and a max of 5sec
Or
2 it gets m774 which will allow it to at least effectively pen the hull of the recently buffed t64a and t74a both can out reload out armor and pen far more then you
As for flanking as it stands you regularly can’t do that do to map design makeing your mobility not as great of a advantage as it should be makeing it more about armor and gun reload speed and pen rather then mobility.
Would rather that than not pen every time on a t72a or t64 or the fact they get 420mm pen apfsds with better reload speed and automatic loading
All I ask for is ether slightly better apfsds or better reload
For reference
M735 (what the xm1 has)
292mm pen at 0 angle at 10m 169mm at 60 angle
3BM22 (top round the t72a and t64a gets)
425mm of pen at 10m 0 angle 193mm of pen at 60 angle
VS
M774 ( the round that can be added for the xm1)
372mm pen at 10m 0 angle
215mm pen at 10m 60 angle
At you can see they are roughly equal with m774 tradeing flat pen for more angled pen
xm1 has 6.7s reload when aced which is better than the T72 and worse than T64. Its got far better mobility, gun handling and optics than either of them and absolutely doesnt need a reload or ammo buff. god forbid your run of the mill US main has to aim for weakspots
you ONLY take aced + spaded stats into consideration when talking about balance lmao. inb4 ‘muh stock basic crew m1 is worse than t64 better move abrums to 9.0’
Im not saying take basic crew as baseline, but we also shouldnt take max crew aced as the baseline, it should be somewhere inbeetween as that is where most people will have it.
Crew stats suck, both buying expert and especially researching/buying ace. But that doesnt mean that it doesnt exist.
it has a 6.7 reload with ace, if its basic crew or expert fire rates get buffed then so would its ace reload speed, the average player might not benefit from that but anyone with the faster reload definetly would and it would become an OP beast, and both expert and ace are acquirable for free with effort and/or time.
What next? Its slow stock and therefore it needs an engine buff?
They both have great mobility, way above the average
The Chrysler one looks to have quite decent survivability, the GM one does appear to be lacking, but is faster still.
Chrysler one has really good optics and both have TVD at a BR where TVD is not that common which is a massive bonus. TVD doesnt really become common until 9.7+
The reloads look fine at 6.7 seconds which is fairly decent for the BR.
The only negative looks to be shells which mostly rely upon HEATFS or relatively low pen APFSDS to kill which both have issues, but given the overall package, the only reason its not higher than 9.0 is the shells, buff the shells, increase the BR. A lot

Every other tank gets rounds that pen more then 330mm
It’s not a lot to ask for at lest a better shot
