The unfair nerf of the Eurofighter Typhoon

Many sources I can find online all state 1977.
If the information im referencing is incorrect it is due to the source materials I have access to.

Even 1980s is an older design ethos
To something as revolutionary as the Eurocanards

There are many that have though.

you best believe when i get close to one of those things i spam my flares like no tomorrow, you can tell the guys playing it get annoyed because they cant actually lock on to you when you do that lol =D

Even then, some jets have very hot exhaust and the missiles wont get distracted by flares when locking in, depending on aspect too of course. Others can’t even afford to pre-flare much or you run out quicky, like the F-16s and the J-10.

Aim9Ms also give me some trouble if I am notching at short ranges without being able to launch a missile of my own, those things are hard to flare from the side.

Certainly one of takes of all time, pure nonsense.

Delusion how?

Lemme see If i can find the clip… was a few months ago…

to me the worst part of fighting flankers is their nasty habit of still piping you with an r73 after you blasted them in half with canon rounds, i had numerous 1v2’s ruined by some smartass lobbing something at me through the power of HMD even though his plane was a falling frisbee, on fire.

i shoot down a F-18C in the I-15 before.
Does that mean the I-15 is better than the F-18?

YES 1 MILLION PERCENT.

Pure Flanker cancer move, oh im dead spiralling let me just shoot off the other 8 missiles we have.

I would love Gaijin to model Aircraft FCS…if you are in fire and missing a wing…good chance the electrical systems to use said weapons are not functioning.

Just pre flare

Aye right mate preflare the mix of R-73 and R-77s…
Sure.

Or maybe stop allowing Flanker players to abuse this mechanic?

This is the “Zombie Sabre” 2.0

You can pre flare R73s just fine, and you can’t flare an R77 due to it being a radar guided missile yk.

Besides, i have yet to see a flanker getting a kill with an R77 after spiraling to death

No one is abusing it

Yes there is a mix of missiles, the point is that player is dead in game. Like when they allowed on fire helis to dump all their rockets. It was a toxic play and Gaijin tried to fix it by modelling FCS systems.

Su-27/30 while spiraling can launch R-77/77-1, R-27ER and ET and R-73s. And if they have died early they will fall and spiral while having full control of HMD and weapon sysems.

2 players have told you Flanker and to a lesser extent F-15 players abuse this gameplay mechanic.

You can straight up post-flare an R-73 from a crashing flanker so long as you’re further than ~500-1000m. Those missiles aren’t inheriting any forward momentum from a flat spinning plane, and if someone flies that close to flanker that isn’t dead yet without treating it as still being a potential threat then they deserve to take a dirt nap to contemplate their mistakes.

Another player making excuses

That Flanker is dead in game, make it dead Gaijin stop allowing cheap scummy plays.

This is like the Sabre you would kill it. It would show as grey and fly around missing a wing killing your team mates.

Its a dumb AG mechanic and needs removed.

There is a WORLD of difference between a kill and a mobility kill.

Yes you cant mobility kill an aircraft…
That aircraft is out of control critically damaged and burning.

Doesnt get more killed than that. Unless you want to see realism like BF 3 and I have to jump out and 360 no scope the pilot before landing back into my aircraft?

If its not a problem or exploit why are you so against it being removed as a feature in game?

Yea they can, doesn’t mean they will kill you

Impossible, the missiles on the F15s don’t have the capacity to do what R73s do when the plane is flat spinning.

Because it’s literally a non issue.

If the us had aim-9X and u saw F18s spiraling on fire towards the ground, and all of the sudden they manage to fire a missile off, would u still be advocating for it’s removal? Or china with the pl10?

It’s not an exploit, and you’re the one who doesn’t seem to understand the difference between a killed target and a severely damaged one.

Gajin wrote an article a year ago to explain the mechanic. You can educate yourself about how it works here: [Development] Testing out the Severe Damage mechanic - News - War Thunder

The point Luque is making (I think) is that no aircraft should be able to fire after being “killed”.

We really need to get better internal module modeling for aircraft and perhaps get the “electronics” module that helis have gotten. Its one of a number of reasons to get that modeled in game.
