The unfair nerf of the Eurofighter Typhoon

He is right though. It has nothing to do with the Vixen. You don’t even own the EF how are you supposed to know how good is it’s radar?

Facts are facts

it has the second weakest radar at top tier at the moment. Just barely beating out the Su-27s radar.

If you don’t believe me @MythicPi can better attest to the poor performance of the typhoons radar at the moment and has flown both aircraft.

Trying to fight something like a rafale is a total pain because they can see you and you can barely see them. The default in ARB is to just use HMD mode to hard lock a target and just forget TWS even exists. Not an option within SB.

The recent additional nerfs to the airframe have only hampered the ability of the typhoon further and more than likely, taken it further away from an IRL state, not closer with buffs outstanding when the nerfs were applied.

But focusing purely on the radar, It’s a slightly tweaked Blue Vixen found in the Gripens and FA2 but has a far buggier nature and can be outright blind at times. It is missing nearly all features that would distinguish it from the blue vixen such as priority track which would give it an AESA like quality and GMTI which it had on the dev server but was removed. Assumption was due to issue with GMTI in general, but Su-30SM received GMTI and the typhoon still has not gotten it back.

The radar needs practically scrapping and starting again at this point or just upgrading us straight to CAPTOR-E in much the same manner as the rafales skipped their PESA radar and went straight to AESA if Captor-M cannot be fixed

I don’t think captor E is the solution to this, I really hope they fix the normal captor M, its supposed to be as good if not one of the best in top tier

I agree. But with each “fix” seeming to do nothing or make the radar worse. A question becomes how long until they should just give up trying to fix it.

By watching others use it. Clearly they’re doing just fine.

Just because experienced players can make a buggy mess work. Doesnt mean that it isnt a buggy mess.

Trying to use the CAPTOR-M for air combat in sim is like trying to fight a rabid dog while blindfolded; you can do it, but it aint gonna be pretty, and you have a good chance of getting hurt or dying in the process.

Yup. Pretty good analogy for it

That’s the dumbest reply ever. Don’t get me wrong I have a 2.4 K/D with the Typhoon, going for 3 but it’s really hard considering the messiness of the radar.

Typhoons Radar is still tragic…near 5 months now since it was released.

It is actually hard to guide 120s when the Radar is giving false returns.

On another Typhoon thread (might’ve accidentally posted in the German one) I mentioned how the Typhoon would get an almighty nerf at some point or made the worst of the 4th gen fighters for the sole reason that Britain would have one and Gaijin hates Britain.

Now look.

I’ll make another prediction and see if I’m proven correct again. The other nation Typhoons will get fixed but the British Typhoon will be left in a completely lacklustre state.

3.months*

Not half untrue. On the dev server they only update the German typhoon meaning italian and British players can’t try it out and provide feedback

Imagine EFT is RU plane it would take just a week to fix.

A week?

It would have had spear-3s and AESA on the Dev server

T-44-100 that took half a year to fix not having a roof.
Mig-29 dry thrust fuel consumption still too high compared to documents since release.
The 6+ months it took to fix the Mig and Sukhoi flight models.

So still 1/3 the amount of time it took for the tornados to get a partial fix

In Tornado’s situation, that’s cause the flight models aren’t made for wing sweep aircraft.
The fact they work at all is a miracle.
Oh and Mig-23/27s were wing-ripping at subsonic speeds in automatic wing sweep mode for months [they still might be doing it].
They still are:

But yeah, Gaijin will get around to fixing these issues.
It’s not special to any tech tree.

Which is why MiG-29s are still missing their historical loadouts and handle way worse relative to other aircraft than they should?

maybe it was like that irl who know? missing historical loadout? everyone missing historical loadout not just it
