Still missing the point and its clear to everyone involved. The complaint is that matches enforce a suicidal rush playstyle over calculated playstyles because you won’t get score by playing calculated unless the enemy starts to defeat your team and then you can therefore start to be outnumbered and engage. If your team doesn’t suck massively compared to the enemy what usually happens is you notch 1-2 missiles then in the meantime 1/2 their team is dead.

Explaining to me how top tier currently works while this thread is me saying the way current top tier works is not fun… are you not seeing this? The point is even played correctly it’s just not enjoyable.
I quit toptier the moment eurofighters were introduced and it was obvious gjn isn’t able to fix radar issues.
Not because of the radar issues, more because of you can’t reverse an attack effectivly. The only plane able to is the Rafale. If you fly against F15E/Raam you are in the defensive anyway if they play it right. And flying these planes is too boring to me.
But I think there is not a specific thing making it that bad, it’s a bunch of problems and bugs coming together. We discussed a lot of them in the forum, but over months there is no intention by gjn to change anything. So I fly the ranks were less bugs existing and the problems aren’t that massive.
Honestly I like the gameplay if not for the things wrong with the gamemode that are often talked about. I also just can’t help myself but to play to rank 8 because I am a completionist in this regard
MP was never the issue after ARH was introduced, with lofting they basically act like zeus thunderbolt from heaven with more chance to dodge by notching. it’s the pre-instilled fear of radar missile being invincible even after notching (ineffective notch issue/IOG too strong/Alamo E booster VS Sparrow slow ass trauma) that kills air battle.
not really in my experience, shallow angles are still very affect by multipath, and shallow angles are all you’re getting by climbing a bit before shooting, doing a loft will work but it will also slow down the missile significantly allowing it to be dodged much easier 8km+
This is because top tier skill floor is basically non existent, with ceiling being somewhat high only if the match happens to end in a 1v1 or something like that. I remember how I got into top tier ARB by just watching a 5 minutes video to learn basic things and making some keybinds and let me tell you, I didn’t even feel like an below average player there.
That’s the vicious circle.
You’ll either be aggressive, spam your missiles like a brainlet or be cautious, tactical and end up doing nothing.

You’re lucky that they don’t just push 14.0s to the new tier and start adding 13.7 premiums to make ARB a literal cesspool of braindead activity.

Multipathing shouldn’t be removed. Or make planes, who have less CMs or worse RWR , at lower BRs. MP is now actually acting as a way to narrow the gap between the “rich” and the “poor”.
Look, French Mirage F1C has same br with F1CT, but latter one has a good RWR but former one only has a 4-direction, guess-how-far and guess-who-am-i RWR (typically make noise at most case). This makes F1C has zero defence when facing long-distance radar msls because it will just be escaping in whole fight and pressured to death.
If notch ability becomes so important, this should be take into consideration (and as a significant impact factor like missiles) when making br system, like 0.7 or 1.0 br difference.
And there still problems. Can anyone tell me HOW TO NOTCH IN A STARFIGHTER? This shit is even more unplayable because it has a giant turn radius. Different planes have different airframes, which makes them have different cost to notch.
That’s why i stopped playing over 12.0 atm. If i play as good as i know to play there is great probability to end up with 0 income. If i play bad it’s more possible to have an income. There are matches that i intentionally went and die because i knew that if i don’t, i come back with 0 and it doesn’t help me grind really…Meanwhile in the same matches i’m saying i fly all the game evading 17 missiles or something.
And when stock or semi stock (not having all armament) it becomes annoying having to play bad to get RP…
