I think i know why, or i read it somewhere. Anyways LIRDCM/Doppler return rework and stinger versions that actually can hit air targets when?
Edit:
Yeah so thats a slight inconvenience. This scenario is literally every single top tier ground rb match where you are trying to make a difference for your team using the top heli for germany. Is it really a scenario when it is always the case?
PARS could benefit from a loft change and actual top-attack trajectory. The last thing we heard about it was that they were considering adding the extra 2 launchers for a total of 12 PARS, but it won’t mean much when it’s still missing proxy fuze and better lofting profiles.
even with more missiles, proxy fuze and what not im afraid they would suck; its the targetting logic I find the worst.
three missiles per pancir were bad enough, but all of the PARS missiles in the world wouldnt be able to take out things like BUK TADS because they all hit the top of the antena and thus do absolutely nothing.
Having a missile that works, lofts better and has a top-attack trajectory (that’s literally in stated in the brochure) would justify the BR change to 13.0, as of now, its BR placement it’s not fair in the slightest.
Is it just me who always thinks this when seeing these kinds of threads? People only complain because they only shoot from the helipad—if they just flanked properly, it’d be fine.
I’d take 16 hellfires + 2 9Ms + 20mm gun over 8 pars and stinkers
I haven’t played the zulu but from my experience with the Peten, Saraph and Battle Hawk, compared to the Pars, 16 hellfires have much higher killing potential and a much higher skill ceiling (currently grinding french helis for the tiger with hellfires)
Also no gun is EWWWWWWWWW
Plus it has a tiny cm count
By the way, the AH-1Z is recommended to carry a Hydra pod, flank enemy positions, destroy anti-aircraft guns with 20mm cannons and rockets, then take out MBTs with Hellfire missiles.
It’s workable… But who am I trying to kid? It’s borderline worthless at 13.0, it’s barely 12.0 material. Since at 12.0 it would still meet something like Elde and CLAWS.
Helicopters:
EC-665 Tiger HAC/Tiger HAD Block 2/EC-665 Tiger UHT
Mode:
Ground RB
Proposed change:
12.7 > 12.0-12.3
Reasoning:
General Thoughts
Only 8–12 FnF missiles
Compared to 16 missiles for AH-64E/Z-10ME (8 for Mi-28NM, but this one has a lot more avantages to it to counterbalance that)
Limited maximum range:
7–8 km
vs 16–25 km for AH-64E/Z-10ME/Mi-28NM
No IRCM (infrared countermeasures)
Slower climb rate than other helicopters
HAC and UHT variants do not have a 20-30mm main cannon. Also, Mi-28NM’s main cannon is a lot more accurate than Tiger HAD Block 2’s main cannon, and other helicopter main cannons in that mater
Tiger helicopter FnF missiles top-down approach is NOT as perfect as Mi-28NM LMUR’s
Missile Explosive Power
Mi-28NM (LMUR)
→ 19.2 kg TNT
Z-10ME (CM-502KG / Blue Arrow 11)
→ 7.7 kg / 6.3 kg TNT
AH-64E (JAGM-MR)
→ 4.8 kg TNT
Tiger helicopters (Spike ER)
→ 3.3 kg TNT
German Tiger (PARS 3 LR)
→ 3.7 kg TNT
Air-to-Air Capability (same reasoning for SACLOS/Laser+IOG/Beam Riding Air-to-Ground missiles)
Mi-28NM
→ 16 air-to-air missiles
AH-64E
→ 4 missiles
Tiger helicopters
→ 4 missiles
Z-10ME
→ 16 missiles
N.B. : identical reasoning can be applied to the italian AH-129D, while keeping in mind it does have IRCM and 8 Air-to-Air missiles capability.
