T-90m now have for some reason have exterior fuel tank instead of internal, like every other soviet tank, and because of that t-90m cant get killed by “fuel tank explosion”
Yes, this is to allow the fuel tank to act like it does IRL, because War Thunder doesn’t have separate code for internal fuel tanks to have them not harm crew if internal.
So to give it its realistic effect, it’s labeled external.
Did u know the SepV2 also have them? but unlike the T90M, there is a plate behind it so that it spall nicely into the crew.
Meaning this fuel tank is sealed and isn’t supposed to cause explosion that can destroy the vehicle; according to Armored Warfare Fandom wiki’s on T-90M Proryv states:
The frontal fuel tank was removed and the frontal ammo rack was moved to an isolated rear compartment. The vehicle was also fitted with a new spall liner.
There are some logic behind, at least, if my memory is right, I readed a document mentioning the fuel tank being sealed or being a completely different configuration from other late Russian tanks.
