it was fine at 8.7, most guns at that br could kill it, its armor is nothing , some people like to bring the chemical protection, like everyone brings heat , nobody does , because of its lrf , its the only thing going on for it.
its constant uptier to 10.0 having to face stuff that you can’t do anything too.
it really wasn’t and any justification for it to be 8.7 disappeared when the ZTZ88s moved to 9.0

The T-62M-1 has a better gun still but I don’t think there’s a big enough performance gap between the 3 tanks to justify a higher/lower BR for any of them
what i’m getting at is that its a premium tank that sucks, now i’m not crying over here and asking for an op tank, for germany and many nations there is, but when you can’t even perform well because your tank sucks and can’t be used in any strategy or playstyle, you can’t progress in the techtree.
Soviet mains see a tank that is actually somewhat balanced with its counterparts and crash out
“Soviet mains” and its just someone asking for a tank that doesn’t suck, i’m not a soviet main, matter of fact i hate the soviet tanks, they suck compared to everything else in game, mid tier that is, they lack what every other nation has, 9.0, now i said tanks mbts , not the spam bmps and what not, in most situation all you do is flanking and or spawn camping.

Hell most nations dont have the same BR lineups as everyone else
APFSDS is solid but you have a weaker engine and less armor and ammo options compared to your T55AM-1 counterpart. The apfsds is pretty much the only good thing about it which makes it a pretty sad tank for 9.0
But given the Leo A1A1 is 9.0 its not terrible lol
Well the ztz88s are overall much better tanks, better mobility, better gun and better gun handling
most do, and matter of fact they have better stuff at 9.0,9.3

They are. The only advantage of the t55am is the better armor on just the turret, that doesnt really makes up for all the advantages of the other 2, specially the B where you get he-vt and 105 olf f1 levels of penetration
