The subtree of Polish helicopters

Honestly, the connection is about the same as Japan and say, Indonesia, which is another popular option. Poland & Japan did share intelligence against the soviets, which is more cooperation than can be said of some other nations. I agree that Thailand has a better connection but if we are including other options too I wouldn’t rule out Poland just because of geography.

By adding Poland you will also have to add Soviet stuff it used as well. You can’t just cherrypick the vehicles.

As one of my best friends is Polish, I heavily support the implementation of any Polish vehicle into the game. But IMO this is not the way. Polish heli in the Japanese tree? Perhaps a little sub-branch or goodie bag vehicle as part of the German tree, seeing as most Poles do not have a favourable opinion of Russia.

Russia nor Germany are the options. Both from Historical point.

Thailand operates T-84s & BTR-3s. Indonesia has a major period where they exclusively operated Soviet equipment, including mig-15/17/21, even Tu-16. Hell, Malaysia literally operates a variant of the PT-91, a polish T-72 derivative. Redfor tech is likely going to end up in the tree regardless, I’d rather it be less of a complete mismatch of 6 armies.

I dunno man from what Gaijin said it seems to be that they want to add selected vehicles from Asian countries to Japan.

Independent Polish tree can work, but don’t get hopes up, I will probably be on a walking stick by the time they are implementing it.

I understand that, and in light of the leaks am fully aware this is likely just hopium at this point. However, when I see a nation with actually unique and interesting heli options, alongside an actually top tier capable SAM, I can’t help but hope.

Polish-Japanese cooperation (yes, I know it’s the UN force)

It’s a bit stupid, but Polish soldiers have steel helmets introduced in the 1960s, and Japanese soldiers have Kevlar ones.

Let’s hope that will happen as soon as possible.

-1, Japan already has its own options for sub trees, Poland also makes absolutely no sense.

HELL no

If we were to allow subtree simply because the host and sub-tree country has cordial relationship without any military or cultural relationship to back it up, then I guess we can just add Brazilian vehicles to Japan or Turkish vehicle to China simply because they have a long-lasting diplomatic relations. This is like opening a huge can of worms that I would rather prefer leave that untouched. -1

That was a really interesting read about Polish and Japanese relationships, thanks for sharing.

I would say +1 for the concept but -1 for Japan, that’s a real can of worms.

There is no precedent of cooperation against common enemy = subtree. And to go on a similar note Poland declared war on Japan in ww2 (it would be the first subtree to be at war with the main during ww2). One Polish pilot in the Flying Tigers squadron would shoot down two Japanese planes.

Albeit the Polish declaration of war was only to stay loyal to the allies and cooperated with Japan against the soviets in exchange for Japanese passports for epsionage (on Germany)

Yes to it being added to the game, but NO for Japan. Given the possible future Thai and other SEA additions which have been hinted at, they’d be a much better addition to the Japanese helicopter tree than Poland. That said, I would like to be able to play these Polish helicopters, especially since I suggested the Mi-2URP-G. So, in effect, ~1.
