The SU-30SM 3D Model Is Inaccurate and Needs to Be Fixed

I’ve noticed an inaccuracy in the SU-30SM 3D model that needs to be addressed. The model includes a mechanical sighting aid (circled in the images), which is only used for training purposes and should not be present on operational aircraft.

This device is not a standard part of the SU-30SM in combat configurations, it’s primarily used for instructor guidance in training flights. It is not found in fully operational Su-30SMs used in real missions. Including it in the in-game model not only reduces cockpit visibility but also creates an unfair disadvantage for sim players.

For the sake of accuracy and gameplay balance, this feature should be removed from the SU-30SM model. I hope the developers can take this into account and correct this issue in a future update.

We don’t even have access to the DevServer yet. Hold your horses. As you said this equipment is used in training, I suppose the instructor sits in the back, which where the equipments is, the pilot doesn’t have its vision obstructed by the equipment.

Yes, you’re right! Even though the main framesight is in the rear cockpit, the support rods extend forward and partially obstruct the front pilot’s visibility. This might seem minor, but it does annoy sim players quite a lot. Also, for the sake of history and accuracy, this setup is only found on trainer versions, not in operational combat aircraft.

Removing it would improve accuracy and better reflect how real Su-30SMs are used in combat.

I’m sure it’ll be there in the dev sever, if not then bug report it. Trailers are not what you base bug reports off of.

You’re right, I just wanna make sure someone sees this, maybe Im a bit rushed lol

Yeah that’s understandable.
