The stock grind mechanic is something horrible and harmful to the game

You will have to research Chaff and G suits in 13.7… It’s just immoral
You having to spend just over 100k rp to research your main air-to-air armament is completely pathetic…
you already have to search between 400-420k to open the vehicle and you have to search + a 1/4 of a top tier vehicle to open the minimum so the vehicle becomes playable, and in the process you face tank with thermal and bot-type ammunition and planes with all their missile kit, chaff and G suits in addition to all the aircraft’s mechanical upgrades.
Every update is like this… You have a rush of joy after opening the new vehicle after a great depression due to the stock grind.
Sometimes I don’t even want to play with new vehicles.
Stock grind mechanics should be increasingly reduced…Even more so in higher tiers
In the case of aircraft, the entire air-to-air kit, hydraulic actuators and flare/chaff and g suits should already come with the vehicle.
The rest, air-to-ground and mechanical improvements should be researched, that would be the closest to fair
for tanks there should be thermal, laser rangefinder, smoke grenades, extinguishers and parts of the mechanical improvements already with the vehicle, and the rest can be researched
Or simply extinguish the stock grind mechanic… for all modes Naval, Air and ground…
You can profit from the player enjoying the game… you don’t need to profit from the player’s frustration

It’s difficult, because I imagine people GE skipping the most critical mods probably accounts for a decent proportion of the snails bottom line, so any suggestions to ease stock syndrome has to be made up for somehow, and it’s not clear how that can be done.

I’ve seen suggestions floated for other ways to monetize, but some of them feel like they wouldn’t be utilized by enough to benefit snail, and some of them are actually worse, leaving me to think it’s better to stick with the devil you know as the saying goes.

I’ve always like the idea of one way to offset a reduced stock syndrome, is to introduce something like an SL Talisman as another way to spend GE on a vehicle.

(Maybe also a Talisman that reduces downwards rank penalty too, so with 3 Talismans - which collectively cost the same as a premium vehicle of the same rank, you can effectively turn any standard vehicle into a prem)

I hate having to grind out 71k RP just so that I can have aim-9js at 11.0, instead of being stuck with 9Es/9Bs. It’s just ridiculous and I don’t understand how anyone can support it.

Fully agree.

or let me research the essentials directly, let me research all the missiles without needing to enable rank I, II, III and IV modifications, let me select my 9l and search in a straight line down to aim 120

Am I reading this correctly? 9Bs? I already hate them at the introductory missile br because they can be defeated by a simple turn. At 11.0 how do they work at all?

how about 120k+ just to have more than 2 fox-3s at 13.7, with a single one of those mods costing 81k rp or 1900 GE, the economy of these new vehicles is atrocious

Aim-9Js are a tier IV mod on the German F-4F and F-104G, youre stuck with 2 9Es stock, and you can add 2 more 9Es at tier III iirc.

The MiG-23MLA is in a similar situation, where it has 2 R-13Ms stock at 11.7.

I would rather have to grind twice, or maybe even thrice as much RP for a vehicle if it came upgraded. Its gets soul sapping grinding out the basics to simply play at high tiers. But im not gonna GE or get a talisman. Thats what they want, and you should not reward bad behavior.

Badly. A lot of jets between 10.7-12.0 actually have to research missiles that are WORSE than their current stock missiles just to advance in their modification trees, such as the F-4F needing to get past AIM-9B FGWs.

I think the biggest stock missile offender has to be the British Phantoms, they get 2 whole AIM-9Ds at 12.0 BR, with no access to SARHs until tier 3 with the AIM-7Es, at a BR where the aircraft and its armament aren’t particularly competitive even when spaded.

Even though things are ultimately better now that many aircraft get some stock missiles, it’s still a really, really bad grind, though far more tolerable than the old days where the only RP you’d get most of the time was for takeoff and getting killed.

81 f&cking k of rp in one modfication
REALLY ?
I need to research this to be able to get to the micas and research the micas for 26k

Maybe this is what all Russian bad for but they really quite bad at balancing the entertainment and commercial element in the game. All they know is just using all method to increase grinding period then they will spend GE in those mods, but they didn’t realise player also can just leave the game at the same reason.
