Just 3 years ago, developers relied on specific objective performance metrics to compare SAMs and their missiles and demonstrated their case to the public with graphics and factual explanations which you can find here:
Now? They have relegated to using server statistics to justify their decisions to the public on their streams. If they had tried to re-use performance metrics comparing all of the missiles, they would have seen that the BUK outperforms all other top-tier radar SAMs.
In fact, it is looking like the BUK-M3 is going to outperform even the future Patriot SAM MIM-104B while outclassing other top-tier radar SAMs. (Credit to @legocubed)
But comparing the performance graphics of all the missiles would not have served well to suit the narrative that the Buk-M3 is the worst performing top-tier radar SAM objectively.

Even if the BUK was the worst top tier AA, the Pantsir is still one of the best top tier AAs in the game… Meanwhile the Spyder sitting at 12.7… it could be at 10.7 and it’d still be worse than the 2S6

I think what Gaijin should do is definitely not release a new Pantsir, but instead fix the BUK’s radar so it can better leverage the overwhelming advantages of its missiles.

If sample is big enough it will converge to the truth. This claim would require a size difference metric between observations.

There is nothing weak about Russia. All the contrary, in fact.
Ever noticed how your IRCM top tier heli always manage to get hit by BUK missiles, even when hovering totally still (non very high in the sky too) ?
BUK is op, it doesn’t respect the same rules as IRIS or SAMPT, another BIAS.

Only way BUK is actually hitting helos, if player is smart enought to NOT use radar screen on shot against those, and instead using launcher and launchers own tracking radar. ( what you need actually see target to get lock)
And well well well, imagine that BUK what is completely radar missile doesnt respect same rules as IRIS what is radar quided, having IOG and gnss on first part of missile track, and when missile is in 10Km range of target it switches to IR quidance , and actually decimates every flying jet out from the sky. And yes IRIS is still best top tier AA in game.

NATO 12.7 spaas don’t have that launcher saclos system, they suck. Can’t hit any helicopter with them.
Completely useless. Once again, advantage given to Russia (what a surprise).

It doesnt have SACLOS. It is still radar , but it uses launchers radar to track it not the slow ass main dish with 4sec blind spot.
And that is only advantage in buk in reality.
And still every nato SPAA on 12.7 is performing better compared to BUK, what an surprise

BUK most likely isnt the worst one but it also definitely isnt IRIS-T
An additional consideration would be whether the Pantsirs popularity is negatively impacting BUK kill rates compared to the other SPAA since russia is the only tree with 2 top tier viable SPAA that compete for kills

My ircm top tier heli deflects iris missiles without problem. BUK always manages to land its missiles on top of my heli and instantly destroys it (on the first try).

It does! Also if you are in a squad with BUK and you in Pantsir…you are pretty much untouchable! BUK shoots the aircraft, Pantsir the ordinance. Afaik the only nation that can actually effectively do that

Don’t understand why USSR is getting another top tier spaa, saying buk is the worse spaa is like saying t-90m is the worse toptier mbt
