I wonder what is likely to be seen next for italy air? Spanish hornet? Another eurofighter? A stretch for the F-39 from brazil? What do you guys think is most likely next for italy, especially for the lacking strike line
They dont need the Gripen lmao, Brazil should be its own tree not a sub tree to Italy thats some cope lol
Maybe if this was a Cartel simulator. No, Brazil ain’t that important military-wise.

Id like a LATM tree but realistically theres no ties to Italy and a Gripen from Brazil. Italy definitely isn’t in need of a new subtree either for air so i just dont see it.

It would be really cool of the Snail to give the Hungarian Mig-29 the R73s and lose the R60s. The plane is a pure fighter yet 2/3 of the missiles you bring are extremely subpar for the BR (12.7). It can be okay if the plane turns like shit, ON THE CONDITION you have 2< usable missiles… Plz Gajin this is crazy.

I hope for more Aermacchi jets (MB-326B/G, MB-339A/C/K/CD, M-346FT/ FA), as well as other subsonic combat trainer/light attackers (S.211, G.82), plus props, a lot of props. There is an insane amount of Italian interwar/WW2 props, which could be added. Hungarian and Romanian props would be nice too, especially since first ranks of that line are still empty.
In terms of attackers line, Romanian LanceRs and F-16AM could be placed at the top imo.

Maybe Hungarian airplanes, maybe lower tier striker trainers, God knows but not me, the brazilian JAS 39E is very unlikely and if it’s added, Sweden will be the first to get it, JAS 39E offer little of new, nothing that the F-2000 currently can offer, both are multirole airplanes and on top of that JAS 39E is lighter which means lower payload compared to the Eurofighter, personally I don’t think that will change much if it was the case of adding this airplane.
Based upon CM Chat 7. Every nation will be getting AESA. The only option for Italy that isnt a 5th Gen is a Eurofighter outfitted with CAPTOR-E. So my money would probably be on that for your next top tier aircraft. (though they may simply upgrade the existing airframe, but we’ll have to wait and see)
Tonka buffs are also quite likely. With additions such as Sky Shadow or AGM-88 sooner rather than later.
Get real… does South Sudan need its own dedicated tree too? What about Bangladesh?
A LATAM tree or Spanish Tree with LATAM Sub-TT is far more likely than Brazil going to Italy.
aren’t we getting CM#9* this week? Might be more info in regards to these EASA planes. But since Smin has stated that Britain will get sth good this major (could be another EFT) then its not out of the question that Italy will also receive a CAPTOR E EFT

All 3 should come together and its the only option for Italy and Germany, so it will make sense.
As for Smins comment, could be anything. We’ve also been asking for a top tier AFV like the Ajax, Challenger 2 overhauls, harrier overhauls, Tonka buffs, Brimstones, etc etc. So could be anything.
Only nation of the 3 that might have some actually in service is Germany. But any T2 Typhoon can be upgraded to AESA and I dont see why they would exclude Italy for such petty reasons.
The question will be what they give Italy, Mk0, Mk1 or Mk2

Any T2+ Typhoon cna be upgraded, So it will be some fudging needed, but the only fair option, much like how they gave Italy PW4s and Brimstones.
So Britain has fitted an FGR4 with Mk2, Germany has more than likely fitted a test aircraft with Mk1 if not actually got a few in service. Let alone Qatar and Kuwait with Mk0 in service for a few years now. So “Typhoons” Generally speaking have had AESA for a while.
Italy specifically, I dont know. I genuinely dont, but I dont see why they would excude Italy from an AESA purely because Italy specifically hasnt actually fitted one yet but is planning too.
Yeah, TRDs would be interesting, but im more hoping for something like BOL Overhaul + EW stuff first.

Italy has signed a contract to upgrade their fleet with 24 new EFTs that will have a better sensor array (Captor E). So yeah a case can be made for Italy to also receive the EASA EFT
