That’s the thing with the American tree, every tank feels the exact same way. Hopefully you’ll have better luck than I when playing through it. Although I will probably get the Australian ones just because I dig it.
tbf the Abrams is an incredible tank so in that case it’s not really a bad thing in this case.
My issue is the fact that it’s the American tech tree in general. You play one Sherman, you have played them all. Stock grinding is miserable with it when you’re running the same exact tank over and over and over again. Same with the M60s, and the same with the Abrams. Sure, the same could be said for Russia, but at least you get a choice between T-72, T-90, and T-80. With the US, all you get is Abrams. I guess the only nation that has it worse is Germany, since all you get is Leopards.
Then research for the same parts and fire extinguishers over and over again even when the vehicles are the same model. So your vehicle has the same gun and use the same ammunitions? you re-research 3bm60 for 7th times!
And don’t forget that each tank gets more and more expensive. Like yeah, I would love to research 400k RP again for the same vehicle. Or tanks, that’s like 200k RP. Either or, ridiculous grind amount.

Still feels the same. Might be a wee bit sluggish, but you can barely tell the difference. It’s not as different as say… T-90 and T-80 where you can really tell the difference.

yes it might actually I just looked up the man talking and he was chief of staff at us army command and a director at GDLS arount the time this video was made his profile if you want to look into him some more
he is also responsible for the abrams and stryker upgrades during his time as director so this should hold some weight but a key point of the video I noticed him say is that the hull upgrade he mentions is mentioned with the turret and is said to be INSIDE the hull the ied/underbelly upgrade is mentioned separately
also ive looked into this and the ied upgrade everyone keeps bringing up is a electronical jammer against ied’s not an actual hull attachment like the lightweight underbelly armor
