The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated

first $100 premium?

would also be interesting to possibly see a sepv4 prototype in game as well

That name makes more sense

Won’t be surprised if they actually make it a prem

nah thats probably going to be the yf23. First rank 10, $120.

They are attached to the interior of the turret and hull like so:

oh thats great, where did you find them?

From a crewman

However, we’ll still need the sepv2 placards

I doubt you will see that for quite a few years. Gaijin will probably focus on other nations’ mbts now. It’s been 4 years since SEPV2, 90M, and 2A7V. Gaijins focus is on jets sadly.

yeah I dont expect to see stuff like the abrams x, t14, kf51, etc until 2030 lol

would the crewman you know have access to the m1a2sepv2 or know anyone still operating the v2?

honestly would probably be smthn more like the m1e3

We’re trying to find out if the do have access/operate it

Right now it’s asking a the next person to ask another person to get information

ah alr

Hopefully, but the most we’ve seen of that so far is a pre-production prototype based off an m1a1, so nothing even close to what the final product might look like. And there is already precedent of them adding technology demonstrators, so there is a possibility of getting the abrams x.

Subject: Methodological Inconsistency Regarding M1A2 SEPv3 Weight Distribution and Armor Estimation Standards

I would like to bring forward a serious technical contradiction regarding how the M1A2 SEPv3 armor values are currently simulated compared to other top-tier main battle tanks (MBTs) in the game.

1. The Mathematical and Physical Contradiction
According to official U.S. Army vehicle identification data, the M1A2 SEPv3 has an official Combat Weight of 73.4 tons, while its Turret Assembly alone accounts for 31.5 tons. This leaves exactly 41.9 tons dedicated strictly to the chassis/hull assembly.

When comparing this to previous variants like the SEPv1 and SEPv2, the massive mass increase allocated to the hull cannot physically be explained solely by modern electronic line-replaceable units (LRUs), auxiliary power units (APUs), or internal spall liners. A significant portion of this weight must consist of the documented Next Evolutionary Armor (NEA) packages integrated into the frontal hull envelope.

2. Double Standard in Armor Estimation Methodology
The developers have repeatedly stated that they cannot update the Abrams hull armor without an explicit, declassified document stating the exact millimeter-equivalent values against kinetic (KE) and chemical (CE) threats. However, this rule is not applied consistently across all nations:

  • For Eastern MBTs (e.g., T-90M): Exact manufacturing compositions of current-service Relikt and internal hull composites are strictly confidential. Yet, the developers successfully implemented them by utilizing public technical specifications, volume analysis, and educated physical estimations based on weight distribution.
  • For Western MBTs (e.g., Abrams SEPv3): Despite multiple declassified documents confirming the existence of upgraded frontal hull armor packages, the development team completely rejects physical and mathematical estimations based on the vehicle’s real-world weight distribution.

Conclusion
Leaving the SEPv3 hull with the exact same numerical protection as older M1A2 variants while forcing it to carry the updated, heavier combat weight creates a physically impossible vehicle model. If confidentiality prevents exact numbers from being published, the development team must apply the same volume, weight, and density estimation formulas used for the T-90M and Leopard 2A7V to correct the missing armor values on the Abrams.

It’s lucky you don’t have any competition.

This SHOULD work right? or is this still not enough information? lmao

I would recommend making a forum that focuses on changing Gaijin’s methodology of implementing armor when classification is high for modern vehicles

This way we can all chat on how this can change in a. Dedicated forum and it won’t solely focus on the Abrams, it can cover all modern vehicles

No they are nit, but here is not the point of this chat.

only the A7 isn’t the A5, 6 and PL can all be UFP by even L23 lol.

They’re certainly more survivable than most nations MBTs at top tier.

If you’re entire tanks being taken out like that, you’ve played the abrams wrong. I don’t know how many times I’ve taken a shot, rolled back repaired then went on to derp the folks doing.

And? big youtubers like Justin plays also said the BMPT isn’t that good now when ti moved to 11.7, as he ast in the video taking loads of punishment.

Big youtubers say what gets them views, not what’s correct.

So the abrams, is literally middle of the pack for survivability ahead of the 2a5 etc
It’s also a lower BR while being better than most top tiers, Merkava mk4s, ariete, Type90s , 2a5 are all a higher Br than the M1A2 which is better in most ways bar maybe thermal imager quality.
