The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated

well until gaijin gets the exact classified armor values they are just going to assume those 5 tons are just accounting for snacks, drinks and body pillows for the crew

Couldn’t the hstvl also have like 3x the hp or smthn

No clue tbh, better ask the technical moderators.

But what i do know is that they are very reserved when it comes to player made calculations, i personally think it’s better to hand them the data and let them make the calculations themselves, or alternatively make only the most basic calculations in the report and leave the rest up to the devs. but i might be wrong, uncertain.

also the fact that this statement from devs

directly contradicts the “you need armor values for anything to be changed” line BRMs and community managers have been repeating

At some point they also said they wouldnt sell top tier premiums but here we are

With all due respect, and I know it’s not a you thing, but what everyone has been saying is that the bug reports are being completely discarded outright with no consideration, for a frivolous rationale. Nothing is getting through the technical moderator firewall. Which forgive me for saying, is perceived as arrogant and making loyal players really angry. The perception is that of a double standard.

Loop holes, Gaijin is a private company after all

oh its from September 2021. guess the interest in Abrams exact armor value has increased since then

Could attach it in the next bug report that is immediately going to be closed because we don’t have the atomic structure of every quark in the hull NEA composite

Wdum obviously all the weight clearly comes from heavy air

I am not sure if this would work, first off the bug reporting managers have already been explicit on their denial that the armor has been improved, that is legitimately the current roadblock, they are arguing that the stated hull improvements could be about anti-radiation linings, it could be a spall liner, etc, and not necessarily about ballistic protection.

The second problem is that the suggestion involves a calculation, and trust me, I’ve been there, these guys don’t like calculations. They will deny such a report on the basis of user estimation.

I do not think this is a problem of proof, neither side has the capacity to prove anything in accordance to the current standard, therefore Gaijin defaults to the position that nothing has changed. It is a matter of belief, Gaijin believes that no improvement has been made. In order to know what to do as the next step we need an actual response from the devs to this situation. We need the community managers to communicate our concerns and we also need them to communicate back the developers response.

They actually acknowledge the improvement, and do say it has been improved. Literally the only thing blocking the hull improvement is some classified hull armour stats

From what I’ve seen they acknowledge improvement, but to them the way the improvement is phrased is too vague so it could mean something other than base protection changed.

Basically they are appealing to ambiguity, or saying that ‘Improvement therefore higher ballistic protection’ is a non-sequitur.

In theory, the next step would be to provide factual evidence that by improvement they actually mean ballistic protection increase, which we can’t do, everything is classified, and they know that. So it does essentially come down to a belief and it would be great if someone at Gaijin would actually come to the table and to discuss this belief rather than just hide behind bug reporting managers catching all the flak.

At least the Abrams cheeks are still competent…

(only took out commander btw)

Yeah but we know “hull improvement” specifically refers to armour because of the Australian order sheet listing hull improvements along with ied protection etc all separately

This is a valid point. Short of the community, community managers, and other content creators making a massive fuss in tandem Gaijin will do nothing.

This negatively impacts:

Abrams
Leopards
Leclercs

(The worst off)
British tanks I cant remember the name for right now
Merkavas
Arietes

They need to fully overhaul the armor, they need to do a massive wave of bugs fixes and not these silly little two or three update fixes we get. Etc.

i’ve got all the merks , it’s still quite funny the namer weighs near the same but has no huge ass turret xD

And funnier how even with all that weight, the front plate cant stop 3bm42 or 9M123, and the side armor doesn’t have the 400mm composite blocks, where the hell is all the weight going to? do they have giant blocks of tungsten on the floor? Or are they crewed by Americans lol?

And the bug reports on this obvious crazy weight to armor discrepancy got answered with basically ‘give use classified documents pls’
