…and the armor values they gave to the 2020s Leopard 2A7s is based off an armor package only trialed on a 1990s Leopard 2A5 prototype. Probably not as accurate to the real thing, but CLOSE ENOUGH given the sources and circumstances.
And?
GUESSTIMATIONS. If you have 10 different sources that converge in a 2+2=4 situation, this is what’s called for; an ESTIMATE based on the available sources.
Why does this fair principle apply to every modern classified tank… but when it comes to M1A2 SEPv3, we NEED to provide an official classified GDLS letter providing the exact mm of protection signed by all 47 U.S presidents?
Why the double standard JUST for SEPv3’s hull and nothing else?
literally what is gonna bound to happen when you start to add vehicles of the present era, gaijin should know this better then everyone but for the abrams they willfully forget it lol
On a package unrelated to SepV3, congratulations this is worth nothing.
Dude what do you expect? Seriously. Some random prototoype package that was never used by anyone, nor has proof of being implemented at any point gets you nowhere (wheras the implementation of the composite armour mixtures trialed for sweden has been proven several times)
Your educated guesstimates consisted of drawing two lines on the ufp roof of a SepV3 and then drawing a smaller box on a Sepv2, gg
You are also just completely wrong about what values are necessary for these reports (because it sounds better for your case to claim “they want classified data” when you cant provide the most basic sources for your claims).
Literally all that would be sufficient to make a proper report that gets anywhere is any of the below;
“protects against ammunition xy”
“protection of part x is now equal to part y”
“protection was (not proposed, but was!) increased by xy %”
“There is a plate missing on the ingame vehicle that is present irl”
They are not asking you for the exact composite array and materials as you claim to throw a scene in hopes that causing enough outrage by people you gaslight will replace the necessity of proper sources, all that is asked for is the most basic stuff that everyone else had to provide for other vehicles to have armour reports on them forwarded (Puma & Leopard 2A7V probably having the most related reports).
Okay then they should increase the armour by 1mm and tell you to provide sources that its more than that.
Because an improvement of any kind is all that you can prove so far.
theyve been guessing based on vague testing for years, but we need them to step up their game and guess based on testing they cant access any evaluation on now
And Leopard 2A7V was modelled on a package unrelated to Leopard 2A7 (a package made in the 1990s for a 2A5 prototype), congratulations on finding out what “making guesstimations based on converging available sources” is.
Tell me you did not revise the multi-page reports without telling me you did not revise the multi-page reports.
Would you have liked if Gaijin had given Leopard 2A7V the same values as Leopard 2A5, because “they had no sources on the upgraded armor” because “the 1990s package was unrelated to 2A7V” instead of using at least that for a guesstimation?
And yet it’s 670mm KE, more than enough to stop any shell ingame.
My point is that those guesstimated 670mm KE are definitely closer to reality than if Gaijin had chosen to just leave the 450mm KE from the Leopard 2A5;
Much like the 35% KE improvement for SEPv3 would be more accurate than if Gaijin just left the miserable 1979 armor, even if not 100% accurate.
In both cases we are talking about sources technically unrelated to the specific models but which can be used to guesstimate their values to a degree.
So the SEPv3 has a flat weight increase of 4 tons. I found that this is supposedly the APU it got equiped with:
Here is is states, by the company that made the APU, that it’s gross dry weight is about 190 kg (420 LBS) or even slightly less. that would mean that according to Gaijin’s own logic the 150mm RHA plate that the US army supposedly slapped on to their SEPv3 turret cheeks weights 3.8 tons.
There is no way that makes any sense lmao. Part of me wishes we had the dimensions of the turret cheeks (hight and width) so we could do some calculations.
Don’t bother guys they will never accept those available sources, but they will accept sources from drunk we know who, who found them on the vodka-stained napkin
maybe you didn’t get point, the point is gaijin is willfully believing that the abrams never got an upgraded array in the hull AT ALL, all our sources point out it did, and several times even regardless of %
it’s psychotic to think it never did, we are just asking them to employ the same guesstimation that they did for every single other top tier tank
Because an improvement of any kind is all that you can prove so far.
literally the same that is happening with 2020s chinese vehicles air and ground, gaijin for the J15T had to create from ground up a radar because there is close to ZERO about what it can do or even his designation name, no one points a pistol in gaijin’s head, they just keep going in adding vehicles that are getting closer and closer to impossible to bug report
atleast it would be something and be a sign of them not acting like a kid who knows all the world in his palm lol
We cannot give any round protection values or % improvements because it’s all classified lol? How can you expect the playerbase to use illegal documents to provide enough information for a game studio that added armour values with less lmao…
This is not ragebait, I am simply telling you that its worthless to throw the same 50 sources stating nothing of use at gaijin and getting mad when they dont pull the numbers you fail to provide ouf of their magic hat or something.
So we agree that Gaijin already pulls a lot of stuff out of their ass (see 2A7V) and holds different tanks to different standards (SEPv3, and 2A7V being disadvantaged compared to the Strv 122)
this, gaijin need to evaluate the standards they require for sourcing because otherwise we’re gonna start getting vehicles where there is no clear documentation and making stuff up is all that can be done
nobody is happy with gaijin making the minimum possible assumption (in this case that nothing has changed in 50 years), we want them to start guessing
