The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated

Oh I absolutely agree. I think the current post is a really nice breakdown of their pov and their thought process. If the whole bug reporter debacle didn’t happen in between it would have been a perfect way to resolve the situation.

yayy, hull upgrade confirmed 😭😭

ill be happy if 500mm vs KE

finally a good reason to use it over other abrams (unlike the leclerc azur)

Yeah, the funny thing was they had so much less information then that final bug report lol and we still got the “not enough info” lmao. But it’s gaijin lol.

with the way the blog was worded I feel like 450mm vs KE is the most realistic expectation and 500mm vs KE is a slightly more optimistic expectation.

100% true. I was already excited for the update overall, but this just makes it even more exciting.

It quite literally would be game changing if it protected you from stock rounds

i mean this is about where we wanted the armor to be upgraded to so I personally see this as a win all I need now is to put pressure onto gaijin to fix chally mantlet armor and type 10 turret traverse and engine acceleration and speed retention

Because of gaijin’s half-ass implementation of removing the TUSK kit, you are significantly more protected against autocannons from the side having it on vs having it off. On the SEPv1, with TUSK off, the entire kit comes off so you actually get your composite sideskirts back, which provide a decent bit of protection vs autocannons, at least enough to give you time to point your hull and turret front and shoot them. With the SEPv2, the ARAT mounting plates are left on in place of the composite sidescreens, and they provide significantly less protection vs autocannons compared to the composite sidescreens, so you just get melted from the side.

Also I just think it looks cool lol.

Can we now get this logic applied to CR2 or is that hoping too hard?

Do you know when the update is dropping?

one of the most sluggish tanks in warthunder is one hell of a statement.
The SepV2 still otu performs, 2a7, all CR2s, all merkavas and is about on par with teh 2a6.

the BVM is faster forwrd that is it.

Most city maps have good hulldown spots, just gotta know where they are.
As well as that hull down doesn’t necessarily mean hills-.

which the abrams excel at , they’ve got insanely good reaction time capabiltilies.

Yet somehow in may the premium abrams maintained a KD nearly on par with the 2A7V ?

Sep V1 which I have at 12.7 is substantially better htan the BVM which I also have.

evne the T80BVM isn’t great in CQB as it’s reload is still substantailly lower than the abrams as well as it’s backwards mobility is abysmal in comparison.

xD well said mate. well said.

sorry what? the abrams can reach near 68kmph rapid af ?
The merkava mk4 1 is slower and 2 accelerates slower, it has 0.1 HP/PT less xD so it cannot go faster.

and it’s Kd is worse overall in comaprison to the abrams, funny that

which if we look the premium abrams are sporting a 1.20 or 1.30 KD while the BMPT is 0.90 something? so what the abrams is bad?

Remotely close? the T80BVM goes 70KPMH forward, 11 backwards.
The T90M goes 60 maximum forwards, if you remove the TUSK as it’s not worth having on, you’ll be more mobile than the T90 and about on par with the T80, whilst still sporting better ammo, faster reload, CITV gen 2 thermals, etc etc ? What’s the issue ehre.

or , or the drawbacks are no where near as profound as you like to make out lol, christ people wanted the M1A1 to stay at 11.3 when it was literally destroying 10.3 - 11.7 as it’s got such immense firepower alone.

Can’t just hold W and win bro, it’s weakest tank in WT.

id say maybe on tuesday since it didnt drop today and they wont drop it over the weekend

  • 1 at least you can take it off.
  • 2 the ATGMs at these BRs go through it any way.
  • 3 it’s the same as keeping a mineplate on, why bother.
  • 4 same as CR2F why put the upgraded ERA on it to lose so much mobility.

The reds? what is this 1965?
The dudes objectively stated countless times that the CAS; SPAA ; Lmur capabilities and KH38MT are complete and utter BS, he just knows the difference between what is an issue and what isn’t.

Russian MBTs are statistically worse than US mbts, they have one advantage, being armour. in which the T80BVM BTW you can shoot through the front of it’s turret with a damn sub 500 pen round from a VT5.
So don’t tell me it’s OP or better than an abrams.

well clearly gaijin is aware of the outcry since they did actually change the mantlet armor its just about if we can force them to keep it

Fully know? no, but it’s definitely coming within the next 2 weeks. (hopefully next week though)

Not tryna argue, but the t80bvm is faster than an Abrams and it will usually get somewhere before the Abrams, atleast with the era package on both

it’s faster forward that I am not debating, but it’s half the mobility mate, it can’t go backwardsbasically
