The Spitfire LF Mk9 is unstoppable and needs to go to 6.3

Spits were somewhat more balanced as Hispanos did less damage. For many years Hispanos were kind of poor guns and inferior to 151 and similar ones. This balanced the OP FM Spits always had. Since Hispanos were changed to godmode, these planes just have no downsides anymore.

Have the MG 151s even been given realshatter yet?

Dunno, my main issues are the lower ROF and the massive drag nerf. It doesn’t connect as it used to all the years before. 151 devolved into a pure close range shotgun. When I see how 20mm mineshells fall out of the sky even at medium range, I always start to cry (and switch to my P-47^^).

Yeah, the 151 hits probably the hardest bar Shvaks and their soviet wizardry out of any of the 20mm cannons. the 151s velocity is still good for 20mm Cannons and isnt difficult to aim in my experience.

Hispanos and MG 151s have comperable fire rates by all accounts. The rounds being draggy is a pain i know from the 30mm ADENs, but if thats accurate not a lot to be done. though accuracy can always be buffed.

But if the rounds arent on RealShatter, then that will explain if they are doing less damage. But back when RealShitter was in full affect. And the only way to deal damage in a Spitfire was pilot sniping or dumping dozens of AP rounds into the target. That was not fun or fair even slightly. Maybe what we have now is too far in the other direction. But my god, please never again give the Spitfires blanks

Statcard top speeds are not a good indicator of how practically fast a plane is in this game. What matters more is what altitude it is fast at. Drag races at 5 km altitude just never happen. What is a far better indicator of true speed is the sea level top speed indicated here. At sea level the LF suffers while planes like the 4B and 3U excel. All spitfires suffer in terms of speed at sea level, the 6.7 Mk.24 is as fast as a 5.7 3U on the deck.

while the spitfire lf mk9 is slow as a plane it is still faster than the 109 k4 and the p51d30 at sea level. Adding to the fact it doesn’t care about energy traps it makes it alongside the yak3u the best props in the game.

my overall performance has increased significantly in this year. That’s why I have high KD’s and KB’s on objectively bad aircraft like the sea fury (3.4), the N1K2J (4.5) and the VB10-1 (4) as well as a healthy 3.5 overall kill death ratio.

That is just factually untrue if you actually test it or just look at documents for sea level top speed.

I tested it, and under most scenarios the lf mk9 and p51 d30 do outpace the k4 at below 2km of altitude.

I can only speak from a Sim perspective but the LF IX is a very strong aircraft. Hard to fly as all Spitfires are in Sim (sensitive stick and lots of torque)but it’s a monster at 5.0.

That said if you’re pushing this up then you need to push up the Ki-84’s to the same BR. The Ki is almost as manoeuvrable, retains energy better, dives better and probably rolls better at speed. The Ki is also braindead easy to fly with almost no torque effects and I’d be stunned if it can even stall in Sim.

As it stands the LF IX is an excellent counter to the Frank and I must admit I do get a gooey feeling inside when they finally learn they can’t quite out turn me.

If you want to fight the LF IX, fight him high where he begins to suffocate. The issue is people try to out turn them at low altitude where you’re literally playing his game.

the ki84 is reversable and has a horrible rudder lock up. The Spitfire doesn’t lock and doesn’t compress even half as the ki84 does, besides outclimbing it and being faster.

Some plane has to be the better one. It’s a team effort to eliminate the danger. If you go out solo against the better plane, you might just lose. And you have to take into considiration -1 to +1. But a far more honest discussion would be aren’t the bombers in a bad spot? They are being placed as meat, a target to attack. Then the discussion of surviablity, why does a Pilot in realistic get a marker at +10km away telling freindly or foo and even the Model. And here you are nitwitting about a 0.3 differences, looking at ure stats the Spit 9 has the same performance K/D point like the rest of the better planes. So what are we talking about. It oke to have an opinion, but dont present it like facts.

there is a great difference from being “the better plane” to “the best prop plane with no disadvantages unless caught lacking energy”

my kd on spitfires is bad because i mostly pick a dogfight and then kill my engine after toying with the enemy and giving it no chances. Now I learned not to kill my engine and i can rack a 4 kill easily. My stats on some of the worst props in game are like 3 times better than spitfire lf mk9 because i play conservatively.

What is wrong with 4 kills? Many of my Squadron Teammates do aces (in other planes). Dont forget you fly a fighter and yes a good one. And many players are just on the deck and or dont climb. But if the Spit has no disadvantages then conservatively playing and/or flying it accordingly the specs is not needed since the plane can correct all mistakes made by the pilot. So you would be smacking planes left and right. But there are disadvantage like over heating of the engine (before 2000m), fuell comsumption, Roll rate etc. And yes energy is king, so if you let a plane above you it might end bad. You will get some taste of BnZ and/or Energy fighting. I Think some planes should go down -0.3, (not this one ;)

currently jets vs superprop (6.3 - 6.7) is pretty broken. So to my opinion that should be fixed first. Ever tried to catch a LA-200? But pushing the 7.0 - 7.7 a bit up would, would create more problems.

What is needed, is a full tree decompress. What we saw from 10.0 to 12.7 but for the rest of the tree. Only solution for it
