Has the Spike been behaving unnaturally since the update? Even when I lock on and fire it, if there are trees or grass between the Spike and the target, it immediately loses sight of the target and flies off in a different direction. I tested it with a friend on a custom server and got the same result. Is this a bug, or was it a silent change?
its always done that, if anything I reckon its been doing better at keeping targets that go behind hills and stuff since the update
Really? I think the Spike was better before the update.
idk ive been playing the freccia ows 30 a lot and theyve been performing really well
like i even have a positive kd in the thing which is uncommon for me in light tanks
Seems kinda odd that a ground launched top attack munition doesn’t have IOG, you don’t need to be Sun Tzu to realize that shooting at a tank under a tree would obscure the missile lock once it lofted
yeah ive been finding it has been performing as it should is what im saying though, like the only time it goes off in strange directions is if it loses track immediately after launch or the target goes behind solid cover
To bad you cant use the “turn off grass in the gunner view” for the ATGM seeker
true but generally i think the tiny bushes and edges of trees when trying to get the lock are always the bigger problem
It’s certainly not consistent, a tiny part of the tank is behind a rock and no lock for you
it would be interesting if they allowed you to lock a point on the ground or something rather than always a tank
Point lock like air launched ATGMs? that would be interesting
yeah exactly, idk how realistic it is though but could be funny, though they dont exactly have much explosive to benefit from it
What if you could set the point with the scout drone?
itd be fine with that for some kinda nlos spike would be very interesting
It could be broken OP, especially if someone parked on a point, but it would be cool to test in an event or something, Gaijin could limit the number of spike reloads like they did with missile ships in naval if its an issue
I understand that it can’t lock on if the target is hidden by trees or grass, but I think it only started losing sight of the target after launch following this update.
no not at all, its highly conditional and luck dependent to an extent
I mean, the Freccia get unlike all other an Insane amount of 10 Spikes
